An attractive black Chinese QING Dynasty Leather Chest nicely painted with red and gold pigments. The front is centered with a hasp and the chest has handles on both sides. Chinese antique Deco Era swivel chair comprised of hongmu and hauli wood. Inlaid with Dali marble. Carved curling arms with back rest openwork carving of blossoming magnolia branch with birds. The largest blossom is inlaid with a piece of white dali marble.

This is shijira Noshime kimono of the samurais with luster dyed with an indigo plant of nature of the Edo era.

This Nosime features deep indigo dyeing with clean luster and Kasuri of transparent blue.
In this way, Nosime of the indigo dyeing of Sijira with the luster is rare.
This was made in Kyoto and was used in Akita.

Extremely Rare 18th Century Edo Period (circa 1780) Musha Ningyô (Japanese Boys Day Figures) representing the famed brave warrior, Kato Kiyomasa (1562-1611), who accompanied Hideyoshi on his campaign against Korea. A refined Chinese framed landscape painting showing a view during the evening. The tradition began during the Song Dynasty with literati landscapes. In the succeeding centuries, different artists produced these landscapes echoing poems by Li Bai or Guqin tunes. The landscape painting was done by an artist named, Tzuyue. Jewelry for the headdress of a Turkmen unmarried woman, made of silver and set with red glass cabochons. Beautiful Chinese small silk purse, salmon colored silk sewn into intricate raised pattern with metallic thread, silk lining on inside, sewn onto each side is a beautiful carved white jade butterfly 2 3/4" wide. The purse cord is braided metallic thread with three carved linked white jade rings on end. Republic Period (although jade is probably older).
