This large Chinese Famille Rose brush pot is a mid or late 19th century product. It is 7 ¾” in diameter and 7” high. It depicts buildings, a river and pond, trees and a garden scene. It has an honorable “Jia Qin” mark on the bottom. It is in excellent condition. More detailed photos are available.

Antique Chinese shallow bowl with a horse jumping through waves. The horse has a green book tied to it's back with a red sash over a pink and green blanket. THe rim of the bowl is painted with clouds. The back of the bowl is painted with green and blue waves. It measures 8.25" wide. Circa 1900.

Beautiful Japanese keyaki wood zeni bako, or money box, the top of which has a handled door with three studded iron hinges and flower-shaped lockpin, and thin iron slot for depositing money, dropping into a small drawer with an iron lockplate. Two more drawers are in front with kan/ring pulls. Edo period (1615-1867) Size: 9" height, 8.5" width, 12.75" depth

These compact matching diminutive Chinese porcelain covered jars pack a lot of color power, decorated as they are in the Famille Jaune palette depicting warriors in combat, one mounted on horse with spear, the others with swords and shields. The flaring base is decorated with multicolored diaper, the shoulder with flowers on a hatched design. The cover is mounted with a small foo dog. The sensuous baluster form and sinuous lines are quite pleasing, and the small form adds even more appeal...

Chinese export porcelain stem plate, made for the Thai market. With polychrome decoration of Thepanom between two Norasingh, among foliage on a black ground, details of the deities in gold. Condition: good, rim with few color flakes, wear to the gilt (rim). Dimension: diameter: c. 13 cm, height: 6.9 cm.

Japanese hirado ware porcelain figure of a puppy . The entire body is hand carved with realistic fur pattern, the body in white underglaze with the eyes left bare. The puppy's paws and toes are fully carved to the bottom of the piece, which is left bare from the white glaze. The bottom is pierced with an air hole from when it was originally fired in the kiln.

Antique Japanese Bizen ware ceramic sculpture of a pair of puppies. Each beautifully sculpted with charming features. Bizen ware pottery is made of the reddish brown clay with high iron content that is found in the area around the village of Imbe in Bizen province. Fine signature on base.

Antique copper treasure box with a miniature portrait, painted on bone, of an older Indian man wearing a turban and a blue and gold tunic, with a red cloth hanging behind him and a view of trees in the background. The portrait is set against a piece of gold and green cloth under glass on the lid of the treasure box. Image is surrounded by gem stones, most missing. 19th century netsuke of Benkei as yamabushi (a wandering priest) emerging out of a huge horagai (a war trumpet made out of a shell) and blowing into a smaller one, and holding a shakujo (Buddhist priest rattle) in his hand. The tokin (scull cap) on his head is the sign of the yamabushi, and horagai - (a trumpet shell - Charonia Tritonis) were often fitted with a mouthpiece on the thin end, and used as war trumpets...

Chinese Bronze Figure of Kwan Yin. Left hand raised in Buddhist mudra meditation. The gown the figure is wearing has embossed all over floral decoration. In good condition. Measures 6 inches in height.

Whimsical antique Japanese netsuke of two octopi in embrace, carved in beautiful cherry amber with lots of little details. The Japanese would wear small stacked containers called inro from their belts or sash. Inro boxes were held together by a long cord running down its sides that looped at the top, held together by a netsuke bead and an ojime bead. The cord would run through the two holes featured on this netsuke. 19th century Size: 1.5" tall x 1.5" wide

This is a very unusual Japanese Cloisonne vase that looks more like a porcelain blue and white vase. The vase has a mix of silver wire and wireless enamel work. The vase is heavy and has a nice glossy sheen. The rims have an unusual dark chocolate patina to them. It stands 9 5/8 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches wide. Overall condition is very good but there are two short lines in the narrow white area just above the scroll on the base.
