A Chinese yuan dynasty era Cizhou kiln jar with Chinese calligraphy of bird flower language in good condition

A red Indonesian topeng mask possibly depciting a warrior or an old man. The mask contains sections where the beard and the eye brows may have been attached. A carved wooden mask from Indonesia depicting a deity or a spirit. The mask contains some pigment that once covered the surface. Topengs are used on the islands of Java and Bali and used during religious processions and ceremonies depicting the stories of the Hindu gods. The quilted lower portion of the vamp indicates that this pair of shoes are from northern China, and the shape of the heel dates them to before 1910. Clearly somewhat used, they are a wonderful artifact of a time and cultural practice from the past.

An Indonesian mask carved in the form of a male figure. The mask is carved and painted with fur used to express the eye brows and mustache. A symbol like form is carved on the back of the mask to bless the mask and to animate the mask when being used. This is a Song dynasty small green glazed earthenware ewer. It is melon shped with 2 small ears resting on the shoulder. The base show a very light greyish clay colour.

The dimension of the ewer is: the height is 10.3cm and the width is 10.6cm.

Generall in good condition with minor abrasion. No restoration, repair chip, crack or glaze chipping.

This is a small Yuan Dynasty white glazed water dropper.

This is a small Ming dynasty celadon or longquan vertically ribbed jarlet.

The dimension is as follows: The height is 7.4cm and thw width is 7.4cm.

It is in good condition.. A manufacturing crack (picture 6)at the base which show through the inside of the jarlet base as well. No damanage, restoration, repair or chip. Minor abrasion and manufacturing fault.

This lacquer serving tray from Burma (now called Myanmar) depicts has a central medallion with a mythical Burmese creature, a chinthei, surrounded with 12 individual vignettes depicting children and other creatures. The tray is 19 x 11 inches with a rim 3/4 inches high. The top surface is somewhat dulled from age and exposure.

DESCRIPTION: Nearly life-sized and in the traditional frontal pose, this painting on rice paper depicts a Chinese Qing official (mandarin) and his wife seated on elaborately carved chairs in semiformal gowns. A rare Chinese stationery box made of huanghuali wood,with an accessory tray made of other kind of wood, and two small ink stone inside the box. Japanese antique bronze censor, decorated all over with archaic motifs and scrolling vines, stands on three legs with heads of horned mythical creatures, the base is covered with rolling waves, handles in the form of fu-dogs, lid is covered with clouds and topped with a fu-dog, rectangular cartouche on bottom, illegible.
