Antique Japanese tanzaku, a long rectangular panel with beautiful calligraphy, by famous poet Otagaki Rengetsu (1791-1875). The poem translates into this:
This being New Year's Day, to the fields my heart is drawn, may there be young pines to be pulled.

Chinese antique pair of rose wood arm chairs. Made of rosewood and carved with blossoming branches and birds. The back rest is carved in the shape of a vase with the branches emerging. The rounded arms of the chair are also carved with small vases and flowers. Republic Period c1920. Size: 39 3/4" high x 25 3/4" wide x 21 1/4" deep.

Nyonya bowl with maker's stamp. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nyonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: W. 17cm. H. 6.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some wear.

An Arita Blue and White Dish. Decorated in the centre with a grasshopper on a rock. Japanese L17thC Diameter: 8 3/8" (21.3 cm ). Condition: excellent

Green jade earring made some 3,200 years ago from people living around the Ma and Red Rivers in northern Vietnam. Can be worn as a pendant. Size: L. 3.4cm W. 2.3cm. Condition: Almost perfect.

Chinese antique wool Pau Tau rug with woven together in a whimsical pictorial composition of a flying crane, deer, and an exaggerated large peony. The Peony is shy and is hiding amongst the craggily rock formation, reminiscent of a Taihu stone. Admits the red sun and swirling clouds, the pine tree stands along, swaying towards the flying crane which is about to land as the prancing deer is on a field of flowers. Beautiful and Unusual antique Tibetan portable flint lock container. The "U" shaped brass body of a lidded box is chased and decorated with the "Wheel of Dharma." Backed with a metal belt loop used to fashion on ones belt. Container to store black powered and lead bullets for matchlock rifle.

A rectangular and exceptionally designed top horse saddle rug or seating mat made of wool in knotted pile. Centrally two flying birds, between them quite invisible Chinese characters, bordered by swastika pattern. Lined and edged with different blue fabrics. Condition: faded, few small areas with missing pile (moth damage). Dimension total: 77.5 cm x 62.5 cm.

A framed Japanese woodblock print of children playing by ukiyo-e artist Keisai Eisen (1790-1848) . Oban size print, it is in very good antique condition consistent with age. Dates late Edo.

A pair of Imari tea bowls and saucers made for export to Europe decorated with a pattern of Hydrangea plants framed by a reserves bordered with brocade drapery tied with ribbons. The tea bowls are in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. They measure approximately 7.3 cm in diameter and are 4.2 cm in height. The saucers are also in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. However both have some glazing flaws, glaze skip, to the reverse, and one has some random crazing...

Long temple banner, also called "bridge painting" hand painted on paper representing Taoist deities in all sorts of situations. A stick is affixed on both ends. China, mid 19th century, Yao ethnic group, south-west China. Length: 4.12 m. A few restorations and losses, otherwise good condition.
