A Ming dynasty blue and white double gourd vase, with neatly painted of three Dragons among lotus scrolls. the upper side with one open mouth dragon and below with one Dragon open mouth and the other is closed mouth among lotus scrolls. Possibly middle to late Ming Longqing to Wanli period 17th century. Condition is good, no any chip, free from any restoration excepted one very light hairline to the rim side. Height: 33,5 cm.

This is one of the 3 Buddhas which belonged to the collector and which represents the Thai ideal of possessing the 3 most desirable images, i.e. UTHONG, CHIENGSAEN and SUKKOTHAI.
Superb elegant shaped of blue and white, well balance potted and decorated with open mouth Dragon on the body and with three claws , the upper side with a pair of dragons face to face with the center of diaper pattern mouth rim above lotus flower head. Condition is very good excepted chips on the horn of dragons, the glazed is gone due to excavated piece on South Sulawesi. No any cracks, free from any restoration and no any other chip. Pines and blossoming trees grow on blue-geen mountains and rocks. There is calligraphy near the mouth of the coupe and a studio mark on the bottom.
