Subtle nephrite “pebble” jade stone with original russet skin highlights, from Xinjiang. It has been polished on one side to achieve symmetry but other then that this is the original natural shape. 19th century/Meiji period Japanese pottery kogo (box for incense during tea ceremony) in a form of a seated rooster. Wonderful potting with great facial expression and well delineated feathers, beautiful crackled glaze, red and black enamels. Bottom shows the seal of the potter. Wonderful piece in Japanese taste. Length 2 5/16 inches. Part of a small East Coast kogo collection.
Chinese Jadeite Jade Pipe end, top is greenish and lighter green toward the bottom, 1 3/4" high, 1 3/8" diameter-top with small hole and other side has large open hole to fitted into the main pipe. There are some wear marks around the top and bottom rim, otherwise the condition is good.

A rare large Chinese carved wooden figure of a Goldfish. The fish is covered with gold lacquer over a brown lacquer base. It has bulging black and white glass eyes, fins, scales, and a large fan shaped tail. The underside shows the brown lacquer base coat. The fish measures about 15" long x 6" wide at the broadest point of the tail, and it dates to the early 20th Century...

Sub-Continent tribal white metal Necklace, 13" long across and 2 1/2" high for metal part linked with cloth rope which can be changed. Each link is carved with dangling leaf shape charms, the charms are hollow inside, and connected together with rope to stay and hang together neatly. Unusual collection of 6 old “prayer cloths” from a Taoist Master’s ceremonial robe (see last enlargement). For generic purpose’s these should be considered to be from the Mien group as they came from Vietnam and are circa 50 to 60 years old- woven from handspun cotton. They all have the same basic pattern indicating they are probably from the same priest’s outfit. These used to be quite easy to get about 20 years ago but now almost impossible to find...

Very good impression quality with silver and gold metallic highlights and extensive embossing on the blue robe. Standard vertical oban print measuring about 14 7/8"V x 10"H. Very good overall condition. There is a slight wrinkle in the paper at the upper right corner.

A Chinese jar, 19th Century Kangxi revival. Wu jin or mirror black glaze and decoration in gilt of flowers and birds in reserves against a diapered background. Condition: drilled hole to the base and wear to the gilt, minor scratch marks and some wear around the neck (from the original lid, now missing). A black and gilt lid of a different shape to go with the jar (optional, cf. photo). Height "5½/ 14 cm.
