A Song - Yuan dynasty longquan celadon bluish green twin fish dish, rounded side with flattened rim and glazed base, dish decorated with twin fish motif at the center and raised flower petal motif at exterior, covered with green glaze.

Beautiful antique Japanese temple scroll from the Edo period (1615 -1867). The Buddha has left his physical being and attained enlightenment. After one of his close followers prepares a bed under the sal trees for him, the buddha dies. All the beings of the earth, good, evil, divine, and animal mourn his departure. The buddha is painted in gold leaf. Sumie ink and mineral colors. Provenance: from a Montclair, California estate. It measures 46" wide by 94" long.
Chinese Ming dynasty Wanli period guan form jar with wide shoulders tapering to an unglazed foot and glazed, slightly recessed base decorated in underglaze blue with lotus flowers and scrolling foliage on a white ground. Short cylindrical neck and fully glazed interior. Measures 6 7/8” high. 16th century. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor scratches to the glaze are visible under magnification...

Pair Chinese green glazed ceramic storage jar with a globular body. The interiors are also glazed as well as isthe inside of the lids. Embossed CHINA on the bottom, we date them circa 1900. In good condition, one lid is damaged, see last photo, but it is glazed over with a clear glaze, so it was fired this way. Measures 7.5 inches high including lid, 7 inches diameter.

He is the fifth generation of the Kobiki-cho Kano family. He learned painting from his father. He succeeded his father as a painter for the shogunate. He is conferred a Hoin.
Some light marks, foxing, and light crease are present on the painting itself, otherwise the painting is in good condition with the age...

Unusually substantial and heavy, excellent carving capturing facial expressions of both characters. Classic design, differently sized deep himotoshi in accordance with the habit of the time, netsuke of triangular section characteristic for the period, old age lines...
We present a fine Chinese Export porcelain armorial platter with unknown insignia but it is wonderfully enameled with royal blue and gold around both the rim and the top of the cavetto. The center of the plate features the owner initials amidst and draped beribboned shield. The orange peel finish exudes warmth of a distant past. This 18th century gem is in excellent condition.
