Japanese Antique Iron Tetsubin with Bronze lid. Tetsubin has a Mount Fuji Shape. Kettle displays a fainted casting of a Japanese Kiri bird and phoenix on one side. A crane and turtle are also displayed along with a 5 character mark and cartouche medallion. Handle is thin, casted with bamboo nodes. Bottom of Tetsubin is in good condition. This is good-quality Noren used in the merchant's family of the Yamagata Shounai district for Edo period. The figure pattern of a wave and the plover means a good combination of attractive harmony. Merchants of Shonai thought about the harmony with local people to the first. And there was the harmony of a merchant and the farmer there. The good-quality hemp was dyed in Tsutsugaki. Chinese famille-verte cafe au lait ribbed saucer, Kangxi(1662-1722), decorated with flowers, the border with branches of flowers and birds in flight, all within an underglaze blue zigzag border, the exterior with branches of flowers against a cafe au lait background. Underglaze blue Kangxi Mark to the base. Diameter : 13,3 cm. Condition : Perfect with minor wear to the enameled decoration.

Large Buddhist ritual bell, with a lavish decoration of a "vajra" on its top, four deities faces below, and geometric and stylized lotus decor on its body. Bronze, with beautiful encrusted green and red patina. Traces of gilding. Indonesia, ca. 15th to 16th century. Height: 9 5/8" (24,5 cm). Obvious signs of great age, otherwise very good condition.
