Pre-Columbian Maya Eccentric Obsidian Scepter. Cira.600 A.D. to 900 A.D. 5” x 0.625” x 14.5. These visually complex silhouette scepters, many found at Copan,embodied their role as cutting weapons and were symbolic of the martial pursuits of most late classic period rulers. Repaired break. Exceptional Type 10 Mezcala Figure. 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" CA. 1500-300 B.C. This very mint gray stone figure has no modern day chips or marks, it does have the classic upper top of the head fracture area. This figure has a very nice plumpness to it. It comes with a custom made black metal stand. Mineral and root marks over all.

Standing female Figure. Vera Cruz, Mexico. Circa. 450 -1521 A.D. 7” x 5” x 2”. These figures are believed to be a representation of a harness device holding a person for sacrifice or imprisonment. Various repaired breaks throughout. Provenance: Arte Primitivo.

A couple of very rare Pre-Columbian containers, made of a long hollowed bone, clad in leather and decorated with shells, Chancay or earlier, pre 15th. century AD

Containers for holding pins, likely darts for a blow gun!

Condition: Choice, some loss to leather and shell decorations, but remarkable intact for type and age. With remnants of a cord on one of them...

A massive and elaborate seal of the rare roller seal group, probably for decorating bread, Pre-Columbian Carchi culture, Ecuador. 500 BC-500 AD.

A very beautiful and impressive seal decorated with geomethric patterns in solid grey stoneware. The seal born with protruding handles, to make it easier to use.

Size: 12 cm. long!

Condition: Extremely fine.

I purchased this bone bear carving many years ago from Michael Steele, Who's Who and publisher of Prehistoric Antiquities. It was found in PA. Michael purchased it from Len Weidner who authenticated and dated it. The patina is a gorgeous deep brown. It is 2 inches square. Have you ever seen another bone bear carving? This is an extremely rare and unique artifact. Along with my other two bone gorgets, I consider these to be the finest bone artifacts in existence from North America...

This red cedar mask was found by S.C. Dellinger in 1935. It is 2 3/4" long and 1 3/4" wide. The patina is gorgeous. Never seen on the market. Another will never come along.

A pair of attractive brass figures of female dancers with musical instruments, Nepal, c. late 19th. century.

Each sealed with a cobber lid in the base.

Condition: Choice Very fine, evidence of polishing but still retaining old patina.

Interesting bronze finials, incl. one with an figure and a finely sculptured bronze peacock ornament with loops, c. 19th. century AD.

Two amulet bronze plaques, one with deity or worshipper, size: 12,5-13 cm. and a substantial peacock ornament with loops, size: 11,8 x 10 cm.

Condition: Intact with red and bronze patinas, with some glucerin stains and dirt deposits, probably from use - uncleaned.

A pair lovely unmounted figural staves, unusually large and detailed for the type, comes with a deep natural patina from old age.

These two figures known as edan have been cast in brass over iron rods. Each is a seated figure of the opposite sex. They are linked by a chain attached to loops to the tops of their heads. The figures resemble Onile, the owner of the earth, in both male and female forms.

A rare painted early wooden figure, Ivory Coast, Baulé, from the famous Danish Artist and Sculptor, Robert Jacobsen private collection and from the 19th.- or very early 20th. century

The figure appears facing the front, symmetrical with her arms resting on her stomach, which was a sign of peace for the Baulé people. She is dressed in a loincloth painted in black, red and white.
