19th century Chinese wooden brush rest carved in the form of a crouching dragon. Dense hardwood (must be wood species related to huanghuali), wonderful warm patina, old nicks, ink and water stains adding character to the piece. Clever functional design, very good object for scholar’s desk. Length 4 7/8 inches, height 1 5/16 inches.
Architectural element, of triangular form, finely carved in relief to represent a celestial being, half chimera half human, carrying a banner and surrounded by clouds. Wood, age patina. Nepal, 18th century. Length: 36.5 cm. Nicely mounted on a custom stand. Good condition.

A pair of tiny shoes for a Han Chinese lady with bound feet, dating to the late Qing dynasty. Made of silk, the lower part embroidered with flowers in satin stitch, the upper part with brocaded silk ribbons. Cotton lining and soles. Condition: fine, only little wear. Dimension: total length: c. 13.5 cm, height: c. 11.8 cm.
Late Meiji Japanese Bizen pottery ware chaire (tea caddy for storing powdered green tea used in tea ceremony) with slender body of rounded triangular section and narrow mouth. Wonderful potting, beautiful patina, very nice texture and play of colors to the glaze on its surface. Inscribed by the potter on the bottom. Turned bone cover lined with silver colored foil on the inside. Great piece in excellent condition. Height with cover 3 3/8 inches.
An extremely thinly potted, moulded porcelain dish, decorated in an most beautiful underglaze Cobalt blue. Very nice glossy glaze.

Condition : Some minute glaze fritting to the rim and one long, secured crack to the bottom - area of the dish.
19C Meiji period Japanese Woven Bronze Plaque Tray Gold and Silver Inlay
The mixed-metal plaque or tray is designed on the interior with a bronze panel carved and applied with five people, variously finished in gilt and silver. The sides and rim are hand woven metals simulating woven bamboo.
Size: 25.8 cm long, 23 cm wide, 4.7 cm deep.
Condition: Good. A scratch on the back.
19th century netsuke in pillow manju (rice cake) shape depicting the upper part of a Nio (one of the Buddhist Guardian Kings) statue towering over a fence, vajra (Buddhist thunderbolt) clenched in his fist and his scarf billowing above him. The back is decorated with a children’s toy figure on a small spatula and leaves in flight among drifts of fog. Wonderful ferocious face, eyes are inlaid with black horn, hollowed inside, warm patina, pleasant wear...

Japanese late 19th century set of black and gold lacquered trays. The set consists of 5 trays with the exact same design. Made by lacquer artist, MUNEMITSU. Each tray measures 10" by 10" and is 1 3/8" tall.
Partly hammered and partly engraved bronze belt of elliptical form.
Richly decorated with nine central bosses surrounded by concentric circles. On the sides stylized waterfowls emerging from a herringbone design.
The sideward bosses with engraved with rays and circles look much like sun symbols.

A small, lovely, thinly potted porcelain dish with moulded decoration of 2 fishes swimming in an Lotus pond. Outstanding good and intensive blue-green color of the Qingbai glaze ! Southern Song Dynasty, 12th - 13th century Qingbai ware. Diameter : 10,4 cm. Condition : Perfect with an nice "ping"-tone when tapped. A Chinese jade carving of a mythical beast and cob on its back. The stone is of medium celadon hue with a few darker spots as seen in the images, the quality of the carving is fine and detailed, especially in the head area.
