Antique Chinese dainty cup for drinking fine liquor with delicate writing and fruiting branches in gold lacquer on black lacquer ground...

Solid gold, silver, shibuichi and sentoku inlaid shakudo tsuba. The setting presents us with a Japanese warrior slaying an enemy wearing foreign armor that seems to be Chinese or even Mongol. This could be a reference to the attempted invasion of Japan by China Mongols in the 13th century. The tsuba bears the signature of Yoshiaki who was one of the greatest artists of his time...

A pair of earlier Opium weights, denominal 10 Ticals, (weight approx 160 grams and 152 grams), Shan, late 18th. century.

Nice Shan Ducks of a good size, with fine brown patinas. Both on Hexagonal bases one stepped and one decorated on top.

Condition: Choice, very nicely preserved.

Six antique bronze opium weights from Burma. The lion-dogs are standing on an octagonal base. The four largest ones having a verification mark in front of the base. Nice patina, the smallest weight with greenish patina might be a different alloy. Weights approx.: 300 g (20 tical), 155 g (10 tical), 146 g (10 tical), 73 g (5 tical), 31 g (2 tical) and 16 g (1 tical). Dimension: largest: 5.9 cm high. Condition: nice patina, traces of age.

Comes with Certificate of Authenticity that states it was purchased from an antique shop in Tainan City, Taiwan. A Mounted Antique Japanese jingasa, samurai's hat. Lacquered a deep brown color with a pattern of armor pieces cross stitched together and decorated with gold double agehonocho (swallowtail butterfly) crest of the Taira clan (also called Heike clan)...

Chinese miniature porcelain tea caddy with gold decoration. All the gold painting is intact and shows no wear which is pretty amazing. Dates mid to late 1700's, it is a fantastic little piece for the collector. In excellent condition, that is as originally made, the only imperfections are little pin pricks in the firing which is normal. This had a cork stopper which is inside the caddy. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1/2". Dates 2nd half 1700's.

Tsuba with openwork design of a falcon resting on the branch of an old pine tree. Iron, with remnants of gilding on the falcon eye and on the tree leaves. The tsuba is unsigned. Japan, early Edo period. Height: 3 3/8" (8,7 cm. Oxidation, otherwise very good condition.

Antique Tibetan silver statue of the Tibetan Vajra Buddhist fierce deity Mahakala. He stands on top of two bodies atop a lotus pedestal, wielding two important symbols of Tibetan Buddhism: A dorje and a bell. He wears the skin of a tiger around his waist, a crown of five skulls to represent the Five Poisons- anger, desire, ignorance, jealousy, and pride- transformed into Five Wisdoms. A snake wraps itself around Mahakala's neck and arms...

Quality old Thai bronze Buddha bust on a timber plinth; age-related surface wear; finely cast and in good condition

Cut iron tsuba. Mysterious motif where two spades appear which should represent spearheads or swords. The tail of Japanese dragons is sometimes depicted in this way. The decor is simple but very elegant. The carving as well as the finish are very neat. Difficult to date with precision. Probably from the Edo period, maybe earlier. Stunning Chinese Mandarin enameled porcelain plate decorated with figures in the landscape scenes, circa 1770. Excellent condition, minor fritting. Diameter: 15.5 cm or 6.2 inches. Painting quality is superb. Provenance: Private collection, Spain.

Porcelain cup, blue and white, with a decoration inside representing concentric floral designs surrounding a chimera located in the center. On the outside, a floral decor of same type as inside. China, apocryphal mark beneath. Early Qing dynasty period, 18th century. Diameter: 22.8 cm. Very good condition.

18th century netsuke of seated Jurojin (one of the 7 Gods of Good Fortune, usually associated with longevity) leaning on one hand. Wonderful early carving of characteristic triangular section, smiling benevolent face, great fat earrings, beautifully etched textile patterns, some black and red highlights. Expert light staining, superb patina. Height 1 1/8 inches.

Iron kozuka inlaid with a bronze or brass lobster.Details in silver. Simple but powerful good work. It reminds me of the Onin style tsuba. This kozuka seems to me very old 18 ° or before. Its simple appearance while being of good quality, its solidity makes me think that it was not made during the peaceful and sumptuous Edo period but before during the agitated war period of Muromachi.
