Antique 16th century Turkish Ottoman leather water flask (Matara) period time of the Sultan Suleiman Magnificent. The bladder-shaped flask with two protuberances, one for carrying, one with narrow spout for drinking, the third with a cylindrical neck for filling, made of thick leather, stitched together with a central seam with three lines of stitching. The Matara leather water flasks were very popular in Turkish Ottoman Army during the 16th century...

A Japanese large ivory netsuke with excellent color and patina depicting a foreigner with trumpet and child on his shoulder. He has a long beard and curly hair with a necklace with horn pendants in the shape of a chrysanthemum on his back next to the engraved signature Washūjin Kōsen 和州人 光仙, under two large himotoshi. Edo period 18th century Sizes: 10,6 x 3 x 2 cm. Condition report: Good condition

The birds are all different variants of Hamsas or Hinthas with V and U-tails, and one or more spikes, standing on a hexagonal bases.

Attractive cup, shaped much like the greek Kylix, low with twin handles. Finely decorated in torquise and black line decor. The motif includes a large cross, a flower, a podium? and arrow symbols.

Size: 14 cm. in diameter incl. handles and 4,8 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice, looks intact, but we think there's a restoration of a crack, very professionally made...

This is an antique Chinese Qing dynasty letter opener from the late 19th century. It is designed as a miniature sword Jian, and the handle and scabbard are made of bone.
