A finely carved cylinder seal in black stone engraved with a scene of worshippers or deities making offers, Neo-Assyrian, c. 9th.-8th. century BC.

Very detailed carving with shows the deities on either side of the tree of life and a vessel on a small stair or table, perhaps an alter. Crescent and star above.

This is a bangle or disc made from what I believe to be calcite. I am listing this and several other items that were part of the Chad Herrington collection. Most, if not all, the items from this collection were auctioned off a few years ago. Mr Herrington attributed these objects to roughly 1000-700 BCE to minority cultures in southeast Asia. This was possibly from the Ban Chiang culture. The stone appears chalky but solid and stable...

A fine thick cylinder seal carved in green-black stone, Old Assyrian Empire, local Levantine provincial style, Early 2nd. millenium BC.

Relatively large and attractive seal engraved with a running man or deity, a horned animal and a palmtree, crescent above.

Size: 23 mm. x 14 mm.

Condition: Extremely fine and intact with deposits and patina.

A triangular stamp seal with handle, Western Mesopotamia, c. 3rd. millenium BC.

Very large for type and with an interesting two colour stone where the upperside is calsified white and the base is in the original brown stone. The seal is engraved with a reclining animal on it's base.

Size: 29 x 29 mm. 18 mm. tall.

Condition: Very fine, intact and very attractive, with much even wear.

A choice collection of unresearched stamp seals, all with different designs, c. 6th.-3rd. millenium BC.

The small collection includes seals carved in a variety of stones; there's a gable seal from the 4th. millenium, several early rectangular seals with cross patterns, some with grit-patterns and a couple of later stone seals, one with a 'sun' pattern, probably from the Persian hemisphere.

A very interesting large stamp seal with a knob handle, Western Mesopotamian, 1st. mill. BC.

Finely worked and polished seal in a glossy dark stone. The base in engraved with a detailed depiction of a horned animal, crescent above.

Size: 27 mm. tall and 24 mm. wide.

Condition: Very fine, with a surface flake/chip to one side, othervise intact nice patina from use.

An exceptionally large cylinder seal, carved in white limestone of a compressed oval shape, Jemdet Nasr period, 3300-2900 BC.

Very interesting shape, probably made to imitate the shape of a human eye, that is frequently used in decorations on Jemdet seals.

The seal is carved in high relief with wavy lines and elongated eye-symbols.

Size: 47 mm. tall and 28 mm. wide. Massive!

Condition: Choice VF and intact, with some corrosion at one side, very attract...

A large marple seal with a very interesting engraving, probably Bactria Achaeological Complex (BMAC), c. 3rd.-2nd. mill. BC.

Attractive large seal carved in a fine-grained white marple, with oval seal plate and a tall, pierced handle. The seal is engraved with a king or main deity seated on the throne, receiving tribute from a lesser king or minor deity. The tribute looks like a trident, but could be a sceptre. Both are wearing strange pointed helmets or perhaps partly animal heads ...

A rare and interesting Western Mesopotamian stamp seal, Levantine workshop, near Antioch, Achaemenid type, c. 7th.-4th. cent. BC

The seal of a hemispheric design that became popular in the 1st. mill. BC. The image is interesting since it shows a Bull butting left with a bird on it's shoulder, leaf above and unidentiofied object before.

Size: 18 mm. wide, 14 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice Very fine, intact with some wear.

A choice green stone stamp seal with fine archaic engravings of animals in the base, Late Ubaid-Uruk, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

Fine knob handle and a round seal plate. The base engraved with a two animals. Scarce early piece!

A scarce and attractive seal dating to the late neolithic period, Halaf, Western Mesopotamia c. 6th. mill. BC.

Finely carved in a black stone with a medium tall handle, and carved with a grit pattern in the base. Finding place given as Amúng Ebene, near Ancient Antioch!

Size: 25 mm x 22 mm. and 10 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice VF or better! Light wear to base-
