A Very Fine and Rare Earthen Ware Musical Instrument: Korea, Three Kingdom (Old Silla) period, 4th-5th century This is one of the rarest earthenware musical instruments from old Silla period, which is formed in a round, spherical shape. It has been incised with three bands encircling the circumference of the shape. A rare example blue and white dish with foliated rim, decorated with Dragon motive surrounded by continuous flower scrolls at inner wall and classic scrolls at rim. The exterior with lotus petal panels. Condition is broken into several pieces with some missing part. Yuan dynasty 14th century. Diameter: 29,5cm diameter.

A large Korean celadon glazed stoneware bowl with incised decoration of a pair of stylised birds, presumably Pheonixes or possibly Cranes. The bowl dates to the late 11th or the 12th century. The bowl measures 8 inches in diameter and stands 2.5 inches high at the rim. There is one extremely fine hairline crack to the rim that is scarcely visible to to the naked eye. There are no chips, frits cracks or restoration. Additional images on request.
