This set of 6 porcelain ramekins or custard cups with underplates was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio in the 1890s. The saucers are 4 7/8 inches in diameter. The cups are 1 ½ inches high and have a diameter of 3 ¾ inches. The porcelain has scalloped edges. All pieces are hand painted with vibrantly colored flowers. The cups are decorated inside and out. A matched pair of carved, thin, pale green jade plaques having incised carvings, each showing a crested bird’s head with open work mouth. Each perforated at the back of the head for suspension, one with a perforation above the birds eye. Both are intact, exc. cond. It was common practice in antiquity to recycle and re-carve broken jade objects...

A beautiful handmade tablecloth and napkins set of Italian needle lace of Pointe de Venice type, with the characteristic scrolling floral patterns with additional floral motifs worked in relief (embroidered).

The condition is excellent, with bright, clear color, and no chips, cracks, staining, or restoration. The cream jug is 5" in length, 4" in height, and 2 1/4" in width.

This specimen is a piece of grey-ware pottery from ancient China.It likely dates to the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). It appears to be intact and un-repaired. It has soil encrustations and traces of root fibers all along the surface. This is an outstanding relic of ancient Chinese culture. Large for its type, It measures just under 21 cm in height. Authentic ancient Chinese artifacts are becoming nearly impossible to find. Take advantage of this piece at a "pre-ban" price.

This porcelain charger was produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden studio in the 1890s. It is 15” in diameter and 2” deep. It is molded in high relief with rococo decoration and framing the five reserves. The center of the piece has a hand painted of scene of people who have just landed on shore at dusk and setting up camp. There are ships' sails in the background. Four reserves in the border contain colorful hand painted flowers. There are gilded highlights and trim. This ...
