Japanese indigo cotton fireman's coat, with sashiko stitching and freehand paste resist decoration (tsutsugaki) of a cherry blossom, overlapping rings and striations. The front of the coat has four kanji characters on the lapel, and the inside of the coat is resist dyed with geometric designs and a round central emblem.

Chinese porcelain fu dog with a small puppy riding on its back. The piece is done in a style similar to flambe glazes with various hues of blue and maroon can be seen throughout the piece. A wonderful example of a carved an painted mid 18th C. Mongolian storage cabinet with flat table top surface. Still retains its original pigment with floral motif seen along with the floral handcarved drawer fronts. Footed base support legs float the chest off the ground. Very sturdy and strong in construction. All original hand forged iron is there and complete.

Japanese Carved Wood Seated Figure of an Ascetic (fasting Buddha). This early Edo Period 17th Century piece is a magnificent work of sculpture with dry lacquer surface and some color with gold lacquer on the stand. A Japanese large boxwood honeycomb with numerous hexagonal cells that contain the larvae, some of which emerge from the holes, hanging from a persimmon tree branch surrounded by wasps with horn eyes controlling the brood. Dutch silver figural spice box. Imported to England in 1891 by BH Joseph & Co. An egret gracefully scrolled neck, red glass eyes, and gaping beak stands on one scaly leg, the other leg raised with clenched talons. A beautiful bird with nicely delineated plumage. Hinged at bust. Dutch assay stamp and date letter, and English sterling-standard import marks including London assay stamp. Excellent condition.

This is museum quality, small Liao dynasty (907-1125) sancai green glazed moulded moon flask ewer. It stands on a flat foot rising to a rounded side body with a spout mouth and a handle. The top opening of the ewer is moulded into the shape of five leaves in five divided panels (picture 6)...

Edwardian sterling silver covered urn. Made by William Comyns in London in 1908. Bowl has straight sides and curved bottom with leaf-capped and wrapped s-scroll side handles and stepped inset foot. Bid and bold chased leaf-and-dart border. Cover raised with bud finial surrounded by turned-down leaves with same border. Striking with plenty of room for engraving. Gilt-washed interior. Fully marked. Excellent condition.

Pair of finely detailed full size silver Japanese temple candlesticks. Embossed with wild flowers and scrolling vines. Blooming flowers are seen from the base, up the stem to the top. Gorgeous original patina consistent with age. Overall very good condition.
