A large and ornate kiseru (tobacco pipe) dating from mid-to-late Edo. The metal fittings forming the ends of the pipe are engraved with detailed cherry blossoms and maple leaves being carried by the current of a stream. The bamboo tube connecting the fittings is in excellent condition and displays a soft warm luster. This piece is quite large as kiseru go—measuring 11.2 inches in length (28.5 cm)...
Seated on a lotus throne, guarded by two attendants. On the back of the stand there is an inscription : This is a statue (or carving) or Kwanyin, for Mr. Wang (??)'s wife, Mrs. Chao (??).

Condition: usual age wear, loss of gilding, the ribbon from the crown at the right side is missing. H. 23 cm.
A very nice, decorative and rare Fahua Ware hoop pended pot with three coloured Scroll Pattern. Ming Dynasty, 15th century. H: 23,2 cm. Diameter: 21,8 cm. Condition: Very nice original condition. Extraordinary well preserved, glossy glaze. On two places there is a glaze split off ( please look the images ) which most probably did happen during the burning of the jar or shortly later - in any case hundreds of years ago...
Fine rectangular lime box made of bronze, decorated with numerous silver inserts representing floral and geometric designs. Inside the box are four compartments with their lids, also decorated with silver inserts showing stylised flowers. Philippines archipelago, Mindanao island, early 19th century. Dimensions: length: 9.3 cm, height: 6.1 cm. Slight abrasion due to age, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: Acquired in Luzon island in 1978.
An antique Japanese Kyodai (mirror stand) made of Toneriko (Tamo Ash) and Tochonoki (Horse Chestnut) woods. Original bronze fittings and finish. The bottom support panel features a relief hand carving of a flying crane, a sea turtle, a pine tree and bamboo, all good luck symbols representing longevity and strength...
This lovely plum patterned chawan (umebachi) is done in a classic style known as e-Gorai (“e” meaning picture and “Gorai” meaning Korean). This classification is somewhat of a misnomer as the style is said to have first developed at China’s Cizhou kilns in early Ming—only later being widely copied and popularized in Korea. e-Goriai wares first made an appearance in Japan by way of Korea at the end of the 16th century and have been highly appreciated among tea enthusiasts to this day...
Late 19th Century Japanese cloisonne bronze charger with a flock of flying cranes. Beautifully designed, it measures 12 inches in diameter. There are a few stress marks in the upper left side, please study last photograph where I have enlarged and highlighted the area through photoshop. It is not as evident in person. Pricing has taken this into account.
Interesting lot of quite scarce glass amulets or tesseras in fine conditions, Early Roman Imperial, Roman Egypt, c. 1st.-2nd. century AD.
The motifs includes Hercules, Mercury and a fine Imperial couple in the style of the time of Nero...
19th Century, Boxwood Netsuke finely hand-carved boxwood netsuke depicting a seated Hotei, the god of Contentment and Happiness, smiling and holding a Fan on his right hand. Signed Shogyoku on the bottom of the netsuke.
Nice compact form; wonderful symmetry and patina. Netsuke measures 1.60 inches (4.,0cm) in diameter, and 1.15 inches (2.9cm) tall. It is in excellent condition, as you may be able to see in the posted photos.

A large and profusely engraved blackstone cylinder seal, Western Mesopotamia / Cappadocia, 2000-1600 BC.
Very interesting with a bird-headed deity seated in front of a fierce winged demon standing on the back of an animal; with multiple creatures, insect-like and other animals on the entire surface.
Size: 26 mm. tall and 17 mm. wide so an impressive seal in hand.
Condition: Extremely fine with some mild corrsoion in parts and fine patina with redish deposits...
A Korean celadon stand of a barbed form, late Goryeo dynasty. The exterior with floral sanggam design, and upper surface with moulded decoration. The foot with attached kiln sand. Dimensions: diameter 11.25 cm.
Condition: with some age related wear, and a glaze crack to the rim which may extend to the other side; as a hairline.

School girl hand embroidered sampler from New Hampshire, late 18th or early 19th century.
Measures 6 5/8" x 10 1/4", in frame measuring 10 1/2" x 14 1/4", with green mat and tan paper backboard.
The scene is very folky, obviously a creative design by the child doing the embroidery. Often samplers were copied from images provided by the "school" of handwork, but this is clearly an imaginative work...

An antique Japanese Hibachi with Maki-E gilt lacquer and inlay in a melon shape made of kiri wood. The gilt lacquer designs are of a bird in peonies and ivy trailing around the edge. Gilt nashiji flakes and inlay add depth to the nature scene. Interior has an old patina.
