An exquisite bronze image of an ancient sage, a gnarled staff supporting his crooked frame with a golden fan capped with silver feathers clutched in his right hand. The Detail is superb, from the evocative expression to the minute details on his robe and accoutrements. It is signed on the foot Seiun (Hara Souemon), a top quality bronze, expressive and detailed. Three(3) pieces English Pratt ware Earthenware Tea or Dessert set, consisting of dessert plate-8 1/4" diameter, smaller plate-6 1/4" diameter, tea cup-2 3/4" high and 3 1/8" diameter-top rim, saucer-1 1/8" high, 5 3/4" diameter, Cow design in front of the Castle scenery and Shepard attending Horses and Cows. One(1) small plate has marked "Pratt, 123, Fenton" on the bottom. The condition is good, there are some wear from old age in pink rim area.

Good black glazed with large swathes of russet jug circa Ming Dynasty bottle with two lugs. There are a few chips on the lower edge of mouth. This kind of ware was the “coke bottle” of their day, common place household/kitchen items, almost every home would have a few. No reason (after a good cleaning and sanitation) you couldn’t reuse for your favorite poteen, bai jiu or single malt. H: 21cm/8.2in and D: 14.5cm/5.8in.

Rare terracotta draped Corinthian column, the details of the capital and the drapery finely modeled.
The motif is uncommon and supposed to bear some funerary significance.

A classic bun-shaped Koro incense burner by Miyagawa Chozo pierced with Incense-clock-patterns enclosed in the rare original signed wooden box. Antique Tibetan gilt bronze ritual vessel. In two parts, the cup and base both cast with lotus petals to represent purity undefiled by Samsara. The inner rim of the cup with deep forest green patina and wear from ritualistic use. The lotus base stands on a round, recessed foot.

This is a long thick zanshi cotton boro noragi from the Meiji era. The dark indigo shade is the warp, and the white thread is the weft. Thick hand-spun threads are also mixed in the weft. The body of this antique Miao Chinese powder horn is carved with large spider web, small foo dogs, and clouds. The stopper is carved into a lotus blossom. The Miao believe that passed relatives take the form of spiders to visit and watch family members, so spider webs are left undisturbed in the home. This horn is from Kali area and is in excellent condition. It is 80-90 years old and approx 9" long.

This is a very attractive Japanese cloisonne vase by a rare artist. The vase is not signed but the work is very unique. A signed Goto vase with very similar work can be seen on page 79 of the book Japanese Cloisonne by Coben and Ferster. We used to own that vase and the mate that went to it.
