The brocade exterior design also features large flying cranes, scenes of ladies dancing, and the Chinese mark for longevity on the top to the lid.. An Anatolian Marble stone Idol of a lovely 'female' form, Kusura-Beycesultan Type, Early Bronze Age II, Circa 2700-2300 B.C.

The particular shape of this fertility idol is also called a 'Violin-shape', carved as it is in a nice white marble.

Late Meiji period (1890s to 1912) Japanese wooden kushi (hair comb) with black and gold lacquer decoration of pine saplings and flowering prunus branches, design continuing onto the back. Nice pairing of the two out of the Three (third being bamboo) Friends of Winter. Beautifully made out of wood with dense texture allowing for very fine teeth, superb fine lacquering, wonderful work in Japanese taste, in excellent condition. Length 4.85 inches.

This is a rather rare Early 19th century netsuke depicting a book and a hat placed atop a richly decorated stand. Possibly a one-o-a-kind theme. Signed Hidetomo. Netsuke measures 0.75 inches wide (1.9cm), 1.12 inches (2,8cm) long, and 1.27 inches (3.2cm) tall.

Rare Chinese Neolithic Three-Handled Jar - Qijia Culture

This very rare pottery jar was made around 4,000 years ago by peoples of the Neolithic Qijia Culture (c. 2050 - 1700 BC), from what is now eastern Gansu province, China. They produced a variety of pottery vessels including cord-impressed pottery of many shapes and sizes as well as a variety of finer vessels such as this, with none, one, two or three handles, although those with three handles are extremely rare...
