Japanese Antique Iron Tetsubin with Bronze lid. Tetsubin has a Mount Fuji Shape. Kettle displays a fainted casting of a Japanese Kiri bird and phoenix on one side. A crane and turtle are also displayed along with a 5 character mark and cartouche medallion. Handle is thin, casted with bamboo nodes. Bottom of Tetsubin is in good condition. Antique Japanese two-section gifu choba tansu (accountant's chest) made with Hinoki (cypress) and Sugi (cedar) wood. The top section has two sliding doors with slats, and an open compartment inside with two drawers. The bottom section has an open storage compartment behind another pair of sliding doors, with five drawers and a lock safe.

Antique Japanese large single section futon tansu, Two large sliding doors made with keyaki (elm) wood with dramatic grain open to one large storage compartment. Sugi (cryptomeria) wood framing with slats on the side for bracing. Black Iron hardware. Meiji Period (1868 - 1912). Great for component / Media cabinet or Buffet Cabinet. Size: 34" high x 67 3/4" wide x 26 3/4" deep.

This very well carved early 20th century Japanese netsuke is three quarters of an inch high, 1 3/8 inches wide and 1 ½ inches deep. It depicts two playful mice sitting in a woven basket. Both mice have inlayed horn eyes. It is signed “Shozan”. It is in excellent condition.

An antique Japanese Cha Tansu (tea chest) made entirely of Rosewood (Shitan). Beautiful configuration of sliding doors, shelves and drawers. Each display shelf has an arabesque border and the center and top shelf have a horizontal scrolling design. The top, back and sides all have floating panels and the chest has an open air design with areas for storage.

Age: Late Meiji-Taisho (1900-1920)
