This is a tall French cameo glass vase made by Legras. Except for the fact that the vase was drilled for a lamp-base (it was never used as a lamp), the vase is in excellent condition. It is properly signed in cameo. The vase is 16 inches (40 cm) tall and 7 inches (17,5 cm) wide at the shoulder. Fire-polished rim and polished pontil. A similar-shaped Legras vase is shown in Blount's book, 'French Cameo Glass' (shown in second-last picture here for your convenience)...

Antique fish sculpture, made from silver, with a fully articulated body, allowing wonderful lifelike movement. The forehead bears a symbol of two fish swimming closely in a yin yang formation. Its mouth is slightly open, almost smiling. Each of its scales has been embossed with intricate designs. A four character Chinese manufacturer's mark can be seen underneath the chin. 8 Tiffany, N. Y. mark English Mintons Dinner Plates, 1920, 10 1/4" diameter, encrusted brilliant gold Vine decoration with bright Lemon color border rim.
