Elegant Edwardian sterling silver and crystal vase. Made by Durgin (later part of Gorham) in Concord, NH. Sterling silver base comprising pierced cylinder on urn mount terminating in upward tapering shaft on raised foot with reeded rim. Crystal vessel with wavy petal rim and bellied bowl terminating in cone encased in tapering cylinder. Pretty acid-etched flowers with cut stems and petals. Pretty Edwardian sterling silver picture frame. Made by Mauser in New York, ca 1900. Rectangular window and wide border engraved with scrollwork, foliage, and pendant bow-tied flowers. At bottom are 2 torches, a motif rich in metaphorical possibilities. Top has shaped cartouche (vacant). With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged support. For portrait (vertical) display. Fully marked including no. 1520. Good condition.

Japanese hardwood tobacco ban (smoking box) or ladies vanity box with carrying handle. The lid is inlaid with shell and enamel coins and birds, with an animal and wire finial. The middle hardwood divider lifts away to allow access to the lowest sections with four compartment.

Antique Japanese small porcelain Kakiemon ware dish. With enamel scene of a tiger chasing a flying bird, bamboo and scholar's rocks, accented in gilt. Slightly flared rim with the recessed foot left unglazed around the edges.

A black glazed monochrome bottle vase, decorated with phoenix on flight. Song/Yuan dynasty Jizhou ware in perfect condition excepted tiny flaked glaze to the foot rim. Height: 18,3 cm.

Japanese bronze vase with fine, inlay cranes in silver and copper. The vase form has a short mouth and dramatic tapered body to the platform foot. The reverse side of the vase has a commemorative inscription and the base with artist's cartouche.

Meiji Period (1868-1912)

Japanese large, rectangular suiban, finely cast with stylized motifs of waves and flying birds in relief. Suiban are shallow trays meant to be filled with suiseki or viewing stones, sand, and bonsai. The rim of the suiban are flared with a cast apron of reishi mushrooms. The 4 feet of the dish are in the form of rolling waves. The underside is textured with artist signature and cartouche.

A very rare blackwood Hungmu rectangle table in it's original condition. This table has never been restored, has all the original hardware and is in fine condition for its age. Blackwood tables are quite rare. Age: Mid Qing Size: L.114cm, W.43cm, H.80cm. Condition: Some small minor old repairs

Lovely Qing Dynasty amber colored agate ovoid form snuff bottle, with an oval foot rim surrounding a shallowly recessed flat base, with mask handles on each side. Japanese Nabeshima ware porcelain dish, with blue and white pair of birds and a camellia branch. The dish stands on a high, deeply recessed foot with outer "comb" cobalt blue design around its edges.
