Condition: Very fine, completely original surfaces, a hairline crack restored. Exceptional silverish iridescence patina that is difficult to picture.

I have too many bronze arrowheads to post separately so here is another group. These are all from China and date from as early as the Western Zhou (circa 700 BC) to as late as the Han period (circa 200 BC). Each of these is a great specimen for collecting, for study, or both. An attractive large fishtail type of dagger, made in the late neolithic period, Daggertime-bronzeage, c. 2000-1600 BC.

A type with an elaborately knapped handle, stiched in the sides and full size for a grown hand. The blade chipped and resized in later periods. Looks originally like a type IV-V to us. Comes with with very old collection tags and another tag written directly in black ink - found at Sorø 1909!

This is a large and impressive bronze axe dating to approximately 1200 BC. This piece comes from the famed collection of Axel Guttman in Berlin. It is decorated on both side with incised lines and circles. It measures roughly 26.5 cm in length and weigh 1160 grams. The original auction house tag will accompany the piece. Large ring with its bezel of circular shape decorated with a relief design representing the face of a deity. Bronze, with fine reddish-green patina. Bactria, ca. 400 B.C. Diameter of bezel: 3 cm. Inside diameter of the ring: 2.2 cm. Very good condition.

Lot consists of a lovely pedestal rattle vessel with small perferations on the foot and applications of animals on the rim and a jug with a human face impressed on the neck, Anthropomorphic style and decorated with black on red lines.

The animal is shown in alert pose with outstretched head. It shows a pointed beak, donut-like eyes, and a body carved with parallel lines to render the plumage.

A massive solid silver or heavy silver plate bronze mirror, Cambodia, Khmer Empire, ca. 12th. century AD:

Very large and with a beautiful silver patina. It features a perfect circular form and a recessed side with concentric incised circles tracing the border. Objects like this one were signs of prestige, owned by the wealthy and elite in Khmer society.

The finest and one of the largest we've seen of these, normally of bronze and rarely of silver or silverplate...

This is a wonderful but plain little copper alloy or bronze axe head from the ancient middle East. Types like this are often associated with either the Amlash or Luristan cultures. This piece has three raised ridges on the socket. It is intact, solid and stable with no repair or restoration. It weighs 230 grams and measures 12.5 cm across. This is a fine example of ancient craftsmanship at a very low price. Don't miss it!!!!

An nice earthenware bowl with incised decoration in a white slip and painted in green and manganese in a yellowish glaze (Bamiyan type), afghanistan, 12th. century (Pre 1221 A.D.).

With carinated walls, pseudo-caligraphy and symethric decorations in high relief. As typical for the most boldest specimens, the green colours are sort of splashed on.

A finely made bronze Phalera or medallion, Roman, 1st.-3rd. century AD.

The medallion depicts the head of a bridled horse and was likely military related as something you would wear in the legions.

An unusually large and choice terracotta fertility figure of female form, Bajaur (Indus Valley), c. 3000-2500 BC.

A hollow mould-made Indus Valley red terracotta statuette modelled in a stylised manner with applied facial features of birdlike form. Also with applied arms and beasts on the cone-shaped body.

Size: 21 cm. tall and 8 cm. wide.

Condition: Choice for type, almost completely intact minor loss to nose, no modern repairs and with nice patina.
