An late renaissance or baroque period Iron Padlock, European, ca. 16th.-17th. century.
Cast and wrought lock. Very beautiful with an arched moveable part and a keyhole at one end. The lock was cobber braized or plated in the renaissance manor and much cobber can still be spotted in parts of the surface (see pictures).

A very rare of imitating archaistic bronze 'Hu shaped' vase, vividly details carved to the body and two beautifully lion mask at the shoulder. Covered overall with typical slight dark green of Yue ware. Unglazed flat base with a layer of dried soil adhere to the base. Northern Song Dynasty or possibly earlier of Zhejiang Yue ware and in our private collections since luckily acquired at Hong Kong 25 years ago. A rare tomb gift from the Song Dynasty, made of red pottery, covered with green, brown and yellow glaze. The crawling position probably shows that this lady is worshipping the deceased person. Length 17 cm, height 12 cm. Condition: the hands restored, glaze loss. Please refer to the pictures.
A rare and unusual Japanese cho bako ("cho" meaning small and "bako" meaning box). Made of Keyaki (elm) hardwood with its original lacquer finish. The upper region of the piece holds a pair of narrow sliding door panels, with a center locking pin to hold them securely shut, and vertical slats of branches...
One made of silver alloy in the "bira-bira" style, showing a blossom with tiny coral beads forming the center and attached butterflies. The second one is a "tama" kanzashi with pierced mixed metal ball showing floral decoration. Both ending in a mimikaki (ear spoon). Condition: the first one with missing butterflies. The second one with minimally bent prongs and little wear. Dimension: 17 cm and 16 cm long.
19th century finely hand-carved Japanese boxwood netsuke of a muscular blind masseur or Totsuka Beggar crouching and trying to lift his hugely distended scrotum. He is wearing only a fundoshi. Excellent detail and patination; he grimaces as he attempts to lift the large stone. His left eye and teeth are inlaid with light and dark horn. Very nice uneven himotoshi. Attributed to Tomochika, because of its close likeness to a spectacular netsuke of the same subject auctioned by Lempertz Auction House (photo #9), that rivals the skulls made by Sukenao (Photo #10)...
A rare green glaze Jun ware water dropper found excavated at Borneo Indonesia. In fact, Jun ware is not for export to South East Asian, possibly brought by the merchant as example or personal use. Condition is good except slight tilt because glaze is thicker at the base and tiny chip to the spout.

A nice and rare original set of Qinghai ewer, these are a fluted side bowl, ewer and original lid with lion figure. Southern Song Dynasty. Condition is good, only the bowl had been re-stuck, otherwise is perfect with no any chip and no other crack. Height maximum: 26 cm.

This is a fine Famille Rose Figural Molded Porcelain Snuff Bottle, of flattened ovoid form, with a waisted neck, a flat gilded lip, and an oval concave foot. The body of the bottle crisply molded with bright colors a scene of the Nine Buddhist Lions at play amid clouds. The neck decorated with a leiwen border. There is a Qianlong Period (1,711 - 1,799) seal script Mark in iron red letters to the base. It comes with a red coral stopper.

This is a fine, flattened, vase shape, snowflake Glass snuff bottle, overlaid with Ruby-Red colored glass, carved in the form of an oval plate placed on both sides of the bottle, with side bars. It has an elongated neck with wide mouth, and a flat foot that has been carved with the Chinese Longevity symbol: Shou. It comes with an amber colored agate stopper. The bottle is in excellent preserved condition.

This is a rare, seldom seen, Snuff Bottle made from Coconut Shell, of a rectangular form, tapering towards base, with a raised rectangular footing, and a short rounded neck. It has been decorated with an incised landscape in the front, and an inscription, possibly a poem, in the back. It has a deep chocolate color with specks. It is very light in weight. It comes with a metal stopper with a coral dome, and a brass spoon.

This is a rare and rather unique Snuff Bottle made from Bamboo, and shaped in the form of a double Gourd. It has a flat footing. It is carved in high relief all around, and it depicts monks within a temple, surrounded by trees. A crane making a landing can also be seen. Well established cavity. Excellent rich patina. It comes with an aquamarine hardstone stopper.

This is an early 19th C., excellently carved, Pear shaped, with a flared neck, and a raised oval footing, decorated with a black overlay of a ferocious dragon on one side, and an elegant Phoenix on the other. It comes with a red stone stopper. The bottle, which is about 200 years old, is in outstanding preserved condition.

A beautiful ancient glass bangle in blueish green color. This probably from Vietnam or Cambodia. Size: Outside diameter 6.9cm. Condition: Almost perfect. A very small almost invisible chip on the outside edge.
Two rare well carved Pyu stone elephants. These are a type of micro carvings that the Pyu period is noted for. There are holes drilled in both of the elephants for stringing. Size: See last photo.

A Minton wild strawberries A2625 hand painted berry or fruit bowl dated 1866. This Victorian beauty measures 9-3/8" across and it features finely handpainted leaves, flowers and wild strawberries all in high relief. The dish has an unusual square form with indented corners and a raised almost vertical rim which suggests that it was probably intended to be used for the serving of sashimi, sliced raw fish. This type of dish is described in Japanese as a shihou-sumioshi sara. This intricate floral embroidery panel may have been part of a larger piece which probably predates the carved frame that now houses the panel.
The background silk is a rich dark brown and the ornate floral display can be positioned either horizontally or vertically.
