A very nice thinly potted porcelain dish. The underglaze decoration drawn by using a very nice cobalt blue shows a motive that is typical for the Chenghua period. Ming Dynasty, Chenghua period ( 1465 - 1487 ) Jingdezhen ware. Diameter : 13,8 cm. Condition : Actually perfect - there are 2 very minute chips to the rim but these chips are very old resp. most probably from the time when the dish was produced ( please have a look at the last 2 enlargements ) Nice " ping " tone when tapped.

19th Century, Boxwood Netsuke finely hand-carved boxwood netsuke depicting a seated Hotei, the god of Contentment and Happiness, smiling and holding a Fan on his right hand. Signed Shogyoku on the bottom of the netsuke. Nice compact form; wonderful symmetry and patina. Netsuke measures 1.60 inches (4.,0cm) in diameter, and 1.15 inches (2.9cm) tall. It is in excellent condition, as you may be able to see in the posted photos.

Chinese Qing dynasty low circular form porcelain brush washer covered overall in a monochrome oxblood red glaze holding a partly submerged moulded recumbent water buffalo at the center. 19th Century, nicely hand-carved Ebony Netsuke depicting Ama, the Diving and Fisher Girl, standing with a basket on her back, accepting the advances of the amorous Octopus that is enveloping her legs with its tentacles and placing one of them in her private parts. The netsuke is unsigned. It measures 0.75 inches (1.9cm) wide, and 2.68 inches (6.8cm) tall. It is in excellent conditon, as may be seen in the posted photos.

A very attractive saraboid seal, carved on the upper side with three section of grit-patterns, and on the seal base with a frontal stylized Rams head emblem, Anatolia, probably costal region, 2nd. millenium BC.

As a very precious material in antiquity, Lapis seals were expensive and thus scarcely seen today. This particular stone is in a very deep good color.

Important large decorated iron belthook with key ring, Late Gothic, c. late 16th. century.

The fine belt hook with iron cut decoration on the front and the bended hook on the back. The hook with a large key ring for multible keys, sustained with a workable screw when keys are suspended to the ring.

An interesting and very rare Wedjat Eye amulet in the openwork design and inscribed on the back with the cartouche of Cartouche of Maatkare (Hatshepsut), New Kingdom, ca. 1479–1458 B.C.

These Eye of Ra amulets are very rarely inscribed with cartouches on the back. This particular amulet is also of special interest since it bears the name of greatest female ruler in the history of the Dynasties, Hatshepsut.
