Attractive blackstone cylinder seal, Eastern Anatolia, Hattite/Hittite period of the 2nd. millenium BC.
The seal depicts a large horned animal, probably an antilope, and a much smaller capride, Tree of Life as spacer. Interestingly, the seal is hollowed out perfectly to a high degree.

Late Meiji period (1890s 1912) Japanese buffalo horn kushi (hair comb) with lacquer decoration of berries and flowers, design continuing on the back. A very rare and finely cast bronze image of the Daoist goddess “The Mysterious Lady of the Ninth Heaven” (chinese: Jiu Tian Xuan Nu).
She is depicted standing on a stylised cloud and holds ritual implements in both hands, a sword in her right hand while the left hand holds a gourd. Remains of cold gilt. China, Ming, 16th century. H 22,5 cm. Condition: Very good, but sward blade broken off and of course with some loss to the cold gilt.
A Ming cast-iron figure of Vairocana, the Dharmakaya Buddha, the most important of the Five Dhyani Buddhas, the one from whom the other emanate from; his name means "luminous" or "embodiment of light”.
He is sitting on a lotus throne, holding his hands in Abisheka Mudra (consecration gesture). On the back side there is a dedication: donated by the Li family. Ming Dynasty, 1368–1644. H. 27.
Condition: Very good but with few casting mistakes on the back
An interesting small collection of Danish Neolithic / Mesolithic axes.
The lot consist of two early, Mesolithic axes from the hunter / gatherer period. Along with these, three smaller axes from later Neolithic period, 2500-2000 BC: A smaller thinbutted axe, a specialized small axe / chisel and a neolithic imitation of an early type of bronze axe.
Sizes: 9-13,5 cm.
Condition: Nice axes with smaller chips. Nice patinas.

Rare pair of three legged, brown glazed pottery barbeque grills. The Han Dynasty was unique in making replicas for cooking in the afterlife. These two pieces are in excellent condition with very minor fritting and no damage; please note that there is still a bit of the original soil it was excavated in stuck to the surface, with a bit of patience this can be cleaned off. The food items on the grill are cicadas and fish...
