This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by a Paris decorator around 1870 or earlier. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½ inches and the cup is 1 ¾ inches high. The ground color of this set is deep cobalt blue. The cup has a reserve on the front with a Watteau scene of lovers in a garden. There are two scenes of landscapes on the saucer. Ornate gilded cartouches frame these scenes. It is very similar to work done at the Sevres factory and even the handle is the same style...

Up for sale is an antique Chinese kesi /K'ossu tapestry, 19th or early 20th century, woven with polychrome silk & gold-wrapped threads, the middle square with gold thread ground depcits a battle scene - Worriors on horseback and armed; framed with border embellished with 16 Chinese mythical creatures. A fine and rare Dr. Wall First Period Worcester porcelain coffee can in the "Warbler" pattern. Painted in deep shades of blue, the can has a slightly flaring top and base, and a grooved handle. There is a workman's mark of "7" on the bottom.

Superb condition, with no cracks, chips, restoration or paint loss. This pattern is very often blurred, sometimes quite badly. This example has only a faint and small amount of blurring in areas. The height is 2 3/8" and the diameter is 2 1/8".

Chinese Ming Dynasty Glazed Pottery Sedan Chair (16th Century)

A pottery model of a sedan chair made during the 16th century (c.1550 - 1600). Made from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated in complimentary green and yellow glazes. A nice example with good detail, especially to the pagoda-shaped roof. There is an unusual incised pattern to the flat base, possibly a lotus blossom (?).

Some of the Tachibana citrus fruit also have silver inlay. Lacquer on rest of mirror case is Nashiji or speckled gold lacquer. A very rare German mixed color twist of soda glass. Bell bowl with a solid base over a stem containing a white opaque twist multi-ply corkscrew surrounding a ruby thread, the whole with an entwined single air thread. 6 1/8 inches tall, 2 3/8 inch bowl diameter, 2 3/4 inch foot diameter.

Mixed twist glasses are as rare as color twist glasses, and the combination of both is an extremely uncommon and desirable construction.

Lot includes to fine Greek larger stone weights, with loops at the top weighing 33.57 grams, and possible used for weaving, a pendant shaped lead weight with loop, Roman and finally another Roman weight of bronze shaped as a bird and weighing 33,76 grams.
