Antique watercolor drawing of flowers in an ornate vase, circa mid 19th century, 13 1/4" by 9 1/4" (16 1/4" by 12 1/4" in later wood frame), executed in a charming style typical of folk art of the period. The drawing shows its advanced age with some fading of the roses, a toned paper, and an old inch plus edge tear at bottom. See other old American folk drawings in my shop.
Attractive bronze travellers icon, with mother and Christ. This icon probably dates to the 18th. century, but could be 17th. cent..

Size: 59 x 48 mm.

Condition: Near VF, this icon has experienced a lot of love and is covered with a fine white bronze patina.

This pair of earmuffs are kept together with a silk ribbon. Worn to protect the ears in winter, the outer side has delicate embroidered flower motif, and the inside is slightly padded and has ear pockets which slip of the ears.

Offered are two desirable hand tools from the mid 19th century.

The first tool is a diminutive hammer which was probably used to drive small nails and tacks. The handle measures 8.5 inches long and sports a shapely head made of iron. This hand wrought primitive tool has a nice original patina and shows wear commensurate with age.

The second tool is called a RACE KNIFE which was a tool of the carpenter, cooper, lumberman and shipwright...

A Japanese blue & white porcelain dish, moulded in ‘kraak’ style with the cavetto featuring butterflies and peaches in relief. The rinka or petalled edge with flowers. The centre of of the dish has a depiction of a gated pavilion set in a fabulous garden. Arita 1750 ~ 1770. A bowl with a very similar border design and alternate moulded butterflies and peaches is shown in the Catalogue of the Shibata Collection, item 3321.

A carefully formed firestone in a fine grained stone, dating to Ironage, Pre Roman Period, c. 1st - 4th cent AD

Firestones were used to produce sparks in combination with an iron striker.

This specimen measure c. 10,5 cm in length.

It has a nice oval / elliptic with a furrow in the middle to be carried in a rope...
Interesting European, perhaps Swedish Foundation brick from a building, 17th. century.
