Japanese pair of shrine figures depicting two Lucky Gods, Ebisu and Daikoku. On the left is Ebisu, a popular god of business prosperity and abundant crops as well as the patron of fishermen. Carved from wood, he stands with a fish under one arm and a smile on his face. On the right is Daikoku, who represents prosperity and is the protector of crops. Burnished Etruscan chalice on a high flaring foot with a single ring on the stem.
The decoration consists of three grooves on the wall and a notched ridge below. The foot with faint horizontal bands in applied white.

A large robustly potted Chinese square section canister decorated in typical Chinoiserie style with a scene of Pavillions, Bridges and islands dating to the early 19th century. The vase stands approximately 13 inches high and is 8 inches square. It is in good condition except for a hairline crack from the shoulder with related chip, and a restoration work to the neck. The extensive overpainting apparently hiding a chip, possibly filled, and a re-stuck piece to the neck...

The Ming dynasty tradition of mortise and tenon joinery can be seen and experienced in this later Ming form day bed. The Zitan bed platform rests soundly on all four inverted horse hoof legs. Mortise corners frame the woven bamboo rattan seat cover. For added flexibility, roped lacing and carved wooden support structures help reinforce the durability of its function.

The back and side rails form a lattice-like structure called “wheel of life” pattern...

A dish of square form with slightly upturned corners decorated with a central motif of a Shochikubai mon. Here an interwoven symmetrical arrangement of the three elements of the Three Friends of Winter, rather than the more common ring format. This style of shochiku-mon appears to date from the Kyoho to the Horeki era. The remainder of the dish decorated with stylised dragons set against a ground of lightening and auspicious clouds and cash...

This pair of matching fans came from an old wealthy collectors estate..along with several others. This pair is in pristine condition with dark wood handles (possible zitan wood) and fan section is basket type weave of unknown plant fiber, the silk tassels have gold bindings...

This superb Japanese Meiji Period (1868~1912) oblong cloisonné plate is 8 1/8” long, 6 7/8“ wide and ½” thick. It depicts two flying cranes, peonies and chrysanthemums on a burgundy background. It is in excellent condition.
