Antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) made all of kiri (paulownia) wood with beautiful original reddish brown lacquer finish and original patina. Japanese ko tansu, or small chest, with natural finish kiri wood front drawers. The outer frame has the Akamatsu wood dramatic woodgrain in black lacquer finish and cut-out handles for carrying. The hand-forged iron lock plates are in motifs of the Mokko mon.

Massive Japanese bronze tripod censer decorated on opposing sides with a central panel featuring peacocks and birds in high relief. The handles are stylized bird form. The cover is decorated with stylized pierced waves and topped with an elephant finial. Late Meiji to Taisho Period (1880-1920). Measures about 14" high x 12" diameter (including handles) and weighs 8 lbs. Very good overall condition with a nice aged patina. One handle is firmly secured but is a bit loose...

The size of Bowl: 6 3/4" Dia x 2 1/4". Japanese Ko Imari Blue and White Porcelain Bowl. The bowl was made solidly and very steady with good fine glazing. The center bowl has Hana-Mon (flower mon) design. The side wall has the design of Momo (peach) Karakusa(Chinese grass) design. Peach is lucky symbol. Outside has Karakusa design. The condition of bowl excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline, as well as almost none scratch. The double lines inside has the section with weak underglaze...

An outstanding, antique jeweled, Indonesian-Balinese dagger -sword, keris, kris, with extremely well-made sturdy blade 17th-18th century blade, with 15 luk ('waves’) superbly hand wrought from pamor iron with fine Damascus pattern. 19th century mountings including Balinese courtly-style figural hilt (hulu) depicts the god 'Bataru Bayu' sitting on a tumpal throne. He is the god of wealth and well-being (a variation of the Indian wind-God Vayu)...

This is a nice piece of cobalt blue glazed scholar’s brush stand. It has three mountains with scene of the “Hai Ma” flying amidst the ocean waves on both side of the stand. Circa. 19th century.

The brush stand is in good condition. No chip, repair, restoration or glaze friting.

Cornet-shaped, in bronze with a brown patina, it rests on 3 feet scalloped in foaming waves rising towards a base decorated with other waves. The body is also decorated in its center with an openwork knot of vine branches and bunches of grapes. The neck is widely flared into a floral corolla. Signed Toto Hidemitsu Kansei under the base. Height: 39.5 cm.

This Japanese tooled leather tobacco pouch (tabakoire) is embossed with a large dragon swirling about the back and front. The metal clasp is decorated with a coiled dragon. Attached to the pouch by 2 rows of 5 chains is a wooden netsuke (manjui) wooden netsuke with metal dragon. The inside of the pouch has 2 sections and the interior leather is tools with a flower motif.

Excellent fineness of the details of the carving to simulate the grain of the wood on her trunk where she is sitting leaning on her cane with her long hair partially covered by her hat, next to a bamboo container.
