We kindly present an unusual and rare Japanese pottery Kannon. She is seated and is wearing a long draped robe that also drapes over her head.

It dates from the mid Edo Period ( 17th. century ).

Japanese ko-sometsuke porcelain nagazara (tray form dish) with scalloped corners. With creative blue underglaze depiction of pine boughs and cones in and centered within double lined blue rectangle by the cavetto. The sides with decoration of a literati scroll with berried vines. A narrow key fret band adorns along the outside of the foot rim. A six character mark appears inside the rectangular foot rim...

The expression of this armor, with its dragon and carp maedate transformation, sets the tone of its mythological meaning. The red armor has a Zunari Kabuto decorated with a Nichirin sun motif, which supports the dragon and carp conversion. The menpo is a Reisei-men with rabbit hair mustache, rendering a fierce warrior’s expression. The menpo is attached with four Kiritsuke yodare in blue and gold silk cords...

Slightly distorted cylinder shaped (tsuzu) tea bowl with straight walls, made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potter's knife around the foot ring.

The bowl was covered with black iron oxide glaze of the non glossy type (preferable!) and then covered with a black glaze in the style of a Seto-guro bowl...

A Ko Imari Arita tea bowl and saucers decorated with a Lotus arabesque karakusa pattern in underglaze blue incorporating auspicious Lotus and Aoi. The tea bowls date to the Genroku Kyoho periods. Blue and white tea bowls tend to be both earlier and rarer than their coloured counterparts. The tea bowl measures 6cm or 2.5 inches in diameter and is 3.5cms, approximately 1.375 inches in height...

A beautifully carved cinnabar round box depicting a sage and his attendant walking under a pine tree in a waterfront scene. We date this box to mid-Qing Dynasty, 18th century. The box is in very good antique condition, with some expected minor loses and small chips, parts of the rims are retouched. It is the decoration and this really brilliant cobalt blue that makes this jar to an realy extraordinary nice example of an Qing Dynasty blue and white vase / jar. Qing Dynasty, late 18th. century. H.: 9,4 cm. Diameter: 8,7 cm. Condition : Perfect.

A very nice Chinese famille rose plate, Qianlong Mark and of the period. There is a small chip on the rim and a hairline crack - please see photos for detail. Diameter: 8".

A lovely Shino tea bowl fashioned from coarse Mino clay and covered in a crackled feldspar glazing. The front of the bowl is decorated with paintings of abstract foliage—possibly the lilting leaves of a willow tree—and the base of the bowl is unglazed, displaying rough clay. The paintings, which are applied using a ferrous glaze, along with the han-zutsu shape (half cylinder) are very typical of this type of Shino-ware...

This is chirimen-silk yuzen-dye and Embroidery yogi kimono in Edo period(1800-1867)Very rare.This yuzen-dye yogi kimono is a museum class.It all is expressed with embroidery and yuzen-dye. It is wonderful beautiful kimono. It does not have a stain. There is a small hole in several places. There is the part which a thread of the embroidery came off. Raku-ware carries with it a very naturalistic aura; with its implements made of raw clay, its use of fire water and air to shape and harden these implements, and with its myriad processes that produce smooth glossy surfaces—like those often found in nature. In fact, if you look more deeply into Raku, you find that many of the shapes and motifs are also inspired by nature...
