Japanese black lacquered wood stand, with shell inlay courtyard scene of scholars practicing calligraphy on a scroll, bamboo forest and other floral motifs, a butterfly, and a central figure holding an auspicious two character sign. The side panels have openwork carvings and scrolling apron. The feet all connect to a squared stretcher base.

A very unusual Korean chest with a complex network of geometric designs on its front, top, and sides, brass hardware incised with floral motifs, two front doors with large brass lock and working key, opening to a beautiful interior of persimmon laminate front drawers. The middle drawer opens with a special secret latch underneath it.

A Chinese style celadon incense burner by one of the 5 Imperial Court Artists of Meiji. Sozan spent his life perfecting techniques for celadon production first used in the Souther Song Dynasty as evidenced here with his powdery blue “kinuta” glaze. The bottom of the vessel is unglazed showing the fine porcelain clay and the adjacent glazed foot bears his Imperial Court Artist seal...

Two Beautiful late 19th to early 20th C. Signed Chinese porcelain snuff bottles. Charming detail, animated. One with colorful figures against green-colored ground, other is with nine lions playing a ball. Both are handcrafted but both without top. Both in excellent condition. Dimensions: H: 2-1/3".

Antique Chinese pair of yellow glaze bowls with incised flying dragons and clouds of smoke along its outer edges, and a single dragon within double rings on the inside center. Wonderful crackling in the glaze is most apparent near the rim and the foot of each bowl. The bottom of each bowl has a Xuande period mark, but most likely dates from the 19th century Ching Dynasty. This is a late 19th or early 20th century Chinese carved HuangYang root wood scepter (Ru Yi). It measures 17 inches long and 3 ¼ inches at its widest part. It is in very good condition.

Burmese sterling silver dish with foliate edges, embossed kneeling figures over a scrolling vine background along the edges, a central image of a peacock with a large halo of feathers ending in scrolling vines and tulips.
