A very rare sancai original, three color, glazed Tang duck cup probably used for drinking rice wine. Three colors with some blue cobalt. Check the closeup photos of the glaze with the natural cracking of the glaze due to long burial. It shows the authenticity of the piece. Size: L.16cm,H.9cm,W.8cm. Condition: Small chip on the rim. Featuring a globular body with a short waisted neck that flares out to a flanged rim which is slightly depressed in the center with two loop handles on opposite sides of its shoulders. The vessel is covered overall in an olive green yue-type celadon glaze, except for its base, exposing its grey stoneware clay. Measurements: Height 10.5”inches. Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this wonderfully detailed funerary cone from a known tomb in the Theban Necropolis. This is cone number 576 from tomb number TT 295 for the scribe Paroy, also known as Djehutymose. The cone is wonderfully inscribed and detailed with clear glyphs. Djeyhutymose was a scribe under Thuthmosis IV or Amenhotep III during the New Kingdom in Egypt. The cone itself measures 3 1/8" in diameter and 2.5" deep...
