19C Meiji period Japanese Cloisonné Enamel Vase The long necked form spreading to a flat oval body, decorated with patterns of chrysanthemum, foliage and stem; the reverse with three butterflies. Size: 14.5 tall, 9 cm wide. Condition: Excellent.

Earthenware offering plate depicting Buddha sitting in a niche, his hands in "bhumisparsa mudra". On his right is another Buddha also in a niche. Thailand, Khmer period known as Lopburi, 12-14th century. 84 mm high x 84 mm wide x 17 mm thick. The piece is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Abrasion due to age, otherwise good condition.

A Longquan jarlet with a nice moulded decoration. Song - Yuan Dynasty (thirteenth to fourteenth centuries) Longquan ware, Zhejiang. Diameter : 6,5 cm. H : 5,3 cm. Condition : Original condition with one firing crack.

A pair of porcelain dinner plates with molded basketweave edge and swirl ribbing with the lines extending into the well. Decorated with hand painted overglaze flowers and a gilt edge. The style closely resembles Meissen, but these are unmarked. The four ribs in four groups of four is identical with a plate pictured in Godden's book on Coalport that he dates from c. 1805 to 1810. 10 inches (23.5 cm) diameter. Unmarked.

Condition: No hairlines or repairs...

A tall beaker of bell form decorated in underglaze blue with a pair of auspicious Dragons each clasping a “tama” pearl above its head set against a lightening field with auspicious ruyi form clouds supporting respectively artemesin leaves on which are a pair of scrolls bound by ribbons and a flaming pearl. The design has been adapted from a Chinese precedent of the sixteenth century but with a Japanese twist to the design...

Rare Chinese Han Dynasty Pottery Dish with Painted Fish Pattern

This rare pottery dish, or shallow bowl, was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). Most known Han Dynasty pottery objects tend to be jars or figures with dishes and bowls being quite rare. This is quite a large dish with a diameter of 25 cm. It is made from a dark grey pottery that is relatively highly-fired...

A pair of Ironstone plates with Chinese style decoration of a willow tree, a Chinese fence and flowers. With a lobed edge they have an elaborate border between the rim and the center of the plate. The blue is underglaze decoration while the colors and gilding were applied after the glaze. The underside with the Royal Warrant, “STONE CHINA/No. 7.” 8 ¼ inch (21 cm) diameter.

Condition: Neither have chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. One has some gilding wear and slight scratching...

This is a beautiful lapis lazuli scarab, 1/2" (13 mm) long. It is a particularly fine piece of lapis. It came from R. Box, a retired police inspector in Oxford, UK, in 1995.

A William Ridgway “Oriental” green transfer printed platter with a vaguely Middle Eastern fantasy scene in the well surrounded by a border of alternating floral bouquets and Middle Eastern buildings against a sprigged green ground. On the back the Ridgway mark of an urn and beehive over the subject name, “ORIENTAL.” and the initials, “WR.” printed in green. The initials for William Ridgway were used from 1830 to 1834...

These miniature jarlets are very rare so-called “associated finds” when people in Indonesia do excavate pieces of the Song and the Yuan Dynasty. Such pieces are rare and exactly like the larger examples they are genuine pieces from the Song to Yuan Dynasties. Qingbai ware with a very pale blue glaze. H : From 1,8 cm. until 2,7 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Rice bag made of fragments of hand-spun cotton with stripes, checks and katazome (stencil-resist-dye), all vegetable indigo and brown dye. The cord is hemp. The square cloth in the bottom is fine and beautiful katazome with "two cranes facing" motif. Kome-bukuro was used when people dedicated rice to temples or shrines. In excellent condition except for a few holes and mending patches. The latter half of the 19th to early 20th century. W:57cm, H:28cm, Bottom:30cm x 28cm.
