A wonderful set of 10 sterling silver egg spoons in Tiffany’s rare 1872 “Vine” pattern in the “Wild Rose” variant. “Vine” was made in several variations, all of which depicted flowers and fruit that grown on vines. The elongated rounded bowls nicely complement the wavy handles decorated with sinuous wild rose vines. The backs are fully marked with Tiffany marks used 1875-91.

The artist has chosen to omit details in the background, and, instead, draws the viewer's focus to the subject by limning her dress in a bright blue, and having her hold several flowers in her hand. DESCRIPTION: A Qing Dynasty Chinese scroll painting depicting a seated Chinese deity with a large blue foo dog mask in his lap and two attendants at his feet. All figures have ornate colorful robes and auroras around their heads. An inscription can be found at the lower middle between the two attendants. CONDITION: “Waves” in paper from being rolled; colors and images are bright; painting has been remounted on white paper-backed silk...

A solid cast gilt bronze dating to no later than the 17th century. The piece consists of the upper five heads of a standing Avalokitesvara. Mounted on a custom stand, the piece itself measures 4-1/4" in height. The quality of the casting is first-rate; remains of gilding, as shown in the photos. The piece would originally have had inlays of turquoise or coral, now missing. Please have a look at the photos, as they are part of the description.

Probably, our finest and surely the heaviest silver icon, we've had for a while! Russian Orthodox icon with an amazing wrought and chisseled Oklad, dating 1871.

This is NOT the usual foliage thin silver sheet oklad but a a heavy thick hammered and chisseled silver oklad in a baroque style with relief heads in each corner and weighing several 100s of grams in .84 silver. Fine gilt to the details. The icon itself with four saints and Christ with halo in the sky...

This is a fantastic, antennae hilted, bronze age sword found in Northern India. The patina suggests a high copper content. This museum quality piece measures roughly 495mm and weighs 523 grams. The blade is 8mm thick in the center and the antennae are roughly 12 mm thick. The measurement between the outer edges of the antennae is 8.5cm. The blade edge is jagged but the metal is solid and stable with no signs of repair. This is a very rare sword that needs to be in your collection!
