Wonderful pair of Chinese cloisonne elephants, each one sits on it's rear end with trunk high in the air, decorated all over with beautiful cloisonne motifs, these pieces are actually containers! The heads come off to reveal little domed lids, these also come off to reveal containers! Each elephant sits on a stand. Beautiful and charming! Early 20th century. Size of each: 13 3/4" high (12 1/2" high without stand) x 5" wide x 6" deep.

One of 3 pendants worn by bridegroom for wedding by Afganistan / Multan /Pakistan tribal group. The pendant is slightly domed and in very good condition. It is almost 4 inches across and 5.5 inches long including drops. I have hung the pendant on black cord for easy wearing as a necklace...

We like to offer you this hand shaped Tanba Chawan with natural glaze cracks. It was made during Meiji Period and is 120 years old.

As shown in the pictures, it's in good condition for its age. The foot of the bottom has a small chip (Please refer to the last picture to check it), but it does not diminish its beauty...

The bowl has everted rim, and the interior decorated in the center with two molded fish, covered overall with a glaze of guan type sea-green tone except for the foot rim burnt reddish-brown in the firing 14.8 cm diam. Several frittings on the foot rim, No Cracks, or hairlines and free from restoration.

The vase has a lid just as wonderfully decorated as the body with cobalt pigment floral designs and detailed paintings, topped with a fu dog lacquered with red, blue, green, and gold...

Japanese three-section kimono tansu made from kiri wood, its mid and bottom section has five long drawers with round metal lockplates that slide open to reveal a keyhole, and two warabite handles adorned with flora. The topmost section of the tansu has two smaller drawers with a single handle each, topped with two sliding panel doors, opening to a shelved interior and two more small drawers with adorable twin fish handle pulls. From the left side, a blue scaled dragon with red hair and scales descends from a billowing cloud, clutching a ball in both of its front claws. Up for sale is this wonderfully textured 19th century Japanese cast iron tea kettle made by noted Kyoto-school tetsubin craftsman Kibundo ( 1812-1892 ).

It is cast in high relief with the image of a landscape and plants.

This fine kettle bears the body-mark “Kibundo zo” and a remnant of the square seal mark of Kibundo on the bottom.

The quality of the relief casting is superb...
