A seated figure of an emaciated male holding a tube above a small pot. The upper tip of the tube (or staff) is missing, an ancient loss. A minor chip to the end of the nose. Extensive deposits, as can be seen in the photos. The figure measures 9" in height. An expressive,authentic figure.

Egyptian Faience "Djoser" Tile, 3rd Dynasty, c. 2650 BC. Faience tile with blue-green glaze. Size 6.1 x 3.4 cm. Smooth surface obverse with a projection and hole on the reverse for hanging. Small chip at upper right corner and along bottom, otherwise intact.

The blue faience tiles were made to resemble the reed matting of the king's palace at Memphis...

A moulded porcelain deep dish, with barbed rim, painted in shades of under glaze blue depicting two celestial ladies in a garden setting enclosed by a broad border of radiating floral panels.

This item was made in Jingdezhen, China, for export to Europe, early in the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1722-1735)...

A fine and rare Chelsea porcelain figure of winter. The subject is an older man, obviously in distress, wearing only a wrap, and standing beside a brazier. This is a classical representation of "Winter", part of the Seasons group.

Beautifully modelled, painted, and glazed, the condition is excellent, with only a small invisible professional restoration to the thumb area. The height is 4 1/2".

It is the design of Ryuo Shikai. The figure that protects sea fishes from evil is represented by dragons and anchors. This is a very rare firefighter Sashiko jacket. And it has a very large size. The condition of the painting is in very good condition, as it is rarely used.　 In this item, the anchor is drawn large in the center to calm the anger, and the octopus and fish at the gate of Ryuo are very attractive...

This is tsutsugaki & handwriting fireman's cotton coat sashiko hanten coat of a splendid firefighter of the late Tokugawa period of the Edo era(1800-1867). This is a very advanced technique. And the entire surface is stitched with sashiko. The lining is indigo dyed...

This is one of the most beautiful and early clubs that I have handled in more than forty years. I am conservatively dating it to the 19th century, without being more specific, although I believe it could well (and accurately) be described as early in the century. The patina is superb, a rich chocolate-mahogany brown, as the photos hopefully will show. The club measures 16" in length; the head is some 3-3/4" in diameter at the widest part. This is a Japanese antique indigo dy sakiori noragi hanten of paper, Hemp, cotton. It is an item from the Edo to Meiji era. This item was made in Sado region of Japan. It is a wonderful sakiori noragi haten, which is woven with very finely twisted indigo dye, hemp yarn and paper twist. The rubbing of the thread due to use has a warm touch. And the indigo dye lumps seem to look into the very beautiful sea. It does not stain or damage...

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden Studio in the 1890s. The saucer measures 6 inches in diameter and the cup is 4 inches high. The cup has a pedestal base and the saucer is contoured with a raised well in the center. The saucer is a platform for the cup. The ground color is blue green. There are tiny pink rose garlands around the saucer and cup...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1890s. It is made of bone china and has molded decorations and an ornate handle. The decoration is known as “Spanish Lace”. Fine gilding is accented with raised enamel beading and hand painted flowers. The pattern covers the entire surface of both pieces.
