This is an unusual Vienna ruby-ground tea canister, late 19th /early 20th century, signed "Kruzka", bearing the blue beehive marked and inscribed "Sapho"; hand painted with a rectangular cartouche of the goddess Sappho in an elaborately chased gilt surround with similarly decorated rectangular cartouche of putti; also decorated with chased gilt medallions of birds and foliate scroll. Condition: slight gilt wear, Measurements: 6 in. H

Late Meiji to early Showa (1895-1930) period Satsuma covered bowl. Measures 8 3/4" diameter and is 5 1/4" high with the cover on. Decorated in a moriage pattern with young boys (Karako) playing at various pastimes, highly detailed painting interspersed with raised white moriage dots. The interior of the bottom and the lid are both decorated with an elaborate scene of birds flying amongst a profusion of flowers. Excellent condition with no cracks or chips or restorations.

An Italy roses tulips faience handled cake platter or plate from the 1950s which is completely hand painted. This exuberantly decorated serving plate has blue trim and wild red roses, yellow and brown tulips and other flowers. A small Song Dynasty celadon bowl in good condition. Carved lotus leaf pattern to outside. Apart for some wear as may be expected, there are only some very minor chips to base rim. Lovely color and good symmetry. Small noticeable mark on rim that likely occurred during firing. Diameter: 5 inches

Rookwood Vase mold number 715 D; dated 1895. Painted by Mary Louella Perkins (MLP), who was with Rookwood only 13 years from 1886 to 1898. Mold number 715 designed by William Watts Taylor in 1894 was also available as an Ewer. Several old labels and esoteric marks on the base - one label for Davis Collamore and Co., of NY, around 1884 Davis Collamore was appointed National Sales Agent for Rookwood and remained so until around 1920...
