This bronze depicts King Louis XIV in his royal robes and other regalia, standing next to a table containing a small coffer, to which he points, with a key in his hand. The backing over the table contains other French and royal insignia, including a shield and crown. The sculpture is cast in three sections, with some welding evident on the back. This set is in their Byzanta Ware series and depicts trees and flowers in a kaleidoscopic style view on the 9-1/2" console bowl and twin trees on the 7-3/8" tall candlesticks.
