American document box with folk art inlaid design. Mahogany. Mid 19 century. A ripple edge molding adorns all edges as well as the base of this box. The top and sides are decorated with contrasting light and dark wood inlays, including a compass point and six stars on the lid and a heart and scroll design to the front. Size: 14 3/8 inches length x 8 7/8 inches depth x 6 inches height. Condition: some loss to the ripple molding. From a Woodstock, Vermont residence.

An antique 19th century hand painted porcelain cat figurine. This figure is probably Austrian or German and it is of heavy porcelain. It is very well painted and it measures 4-1/4" tall. It is unsigned and quite colourful with pink, black, green, orange, blue and gold. It is in reasonably good condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight hairline crack along the chest and a few small paint flakes on the back...

Majolica pottery bowl with water lily or lotus motif by Holdcroft. The English potter Joseph Holdcroft established the Sutherland Pottery in Longton at Daisy Bank, England in 1870 and operated until 1906 when its name changed to Holdcroft Ltd., as which they continued operations until 1920. Having eighteen years experience at the Mintons pottery, Holdcroft was proficient in manufacturing majolica, especially birds and flowers. Measures 11.5 x 10.5 x 4.5.

Rare American Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, Massachusetts cut overlay bell pull, with white glass over cranberry and with brass end mounts. This cane is made of extremely strong hardwood and unfolds with the push of your thumb. The seats were made of canvas and rarely survive. Can be easily replaced. This model has a very clever mechanism. There have been more patents filed for seat canes than any other type of cane known. Pat. in 1860s. Condition (Excellent). Size 35" L.

Irwin' for Patrick Irwin (1810-1878), a prominent citizen of New Orleans and Alderman, Louisiana State Representative, and co-founder of the Hibernia Bank. A Gorham sterling silver open sugar bowl dated 1899. This 2-3/4" tall tableware serving piece measures 7" across the handles and it is stamped with the Gorham lion/anchor/G STERLING mark with the Gorham year cipher for 1899. It weighs 209 grams and it is in excellent condition with no bends, corrosion or damage and it has a fancy engraved RLA (or RSA) monogram. A Brown glazed Ridgway Pottery Transfer Pitcher, with a Silvered Handle, Rim and Base. It Features "Scenes from Coaching Days and Coaching Ways"; from the Book "Coaching Days and Ways" by W. Outram Tristram and Illustrated by Herbert Railton and Hugh Thomson, published in 1888 by MacMillan in London. The Pitcher is 9.5" high x 4.75" at basem and dates from about 1890. It has a slight scratch on the side (see picture 4), but otherwise is in excellent condition.
