By the Philadelphia PA silversmith, Christian Wiltberger (1766-1851), this lovely cream jug was likely made around 1800, as Wiltberger was active in Philadelphia from the 1790s until the early years of the 19th century. It measures 5 1/8" high to top of handle, and is 4 1/4" wide. Signed on the bottom with Wiltbergers stamp, and has a W etched into the front (probably the owners initial). English George IV sterling silver wine jug, London, 1829, by silversmith Benjamin Preston. Size: 9 3/8 in. ht. x 7 1/2" x 5 in. 23.3 Troy ounces. An attractive and substantial hot water or wine jug, adorned with applied acanthus leaf motifs and repousse work. and supported on three scrolled feet. Engraved with family monogram in a cartouche, and with later presentation from 1928 on base. Nice condition but with a single push in on the underside where one foot attaches.

English George III period sterling silver oval tea caddy, London, 1796, by John Crouch I and Thomas Hannam. Size: 4 inches high x 4 inches long x 2 1/2 inches deep. Excellent condition with no repairs or damage. Engraved on the front with a family crest. Fully hallmarked on the side and also on the lid with lion passant and maker's stamp. The wooden finial is carved and is secured to the cover with a sterling nut.

It measures 4 1/2" x 4 5/8" x 3", and is good heavy weight, 12 troy ounces. The interior has some remnants of gilding remaining, and the locking mechanism is visible (no key). This is a rare pair of sterling silver candlesticks made by the esteemed Mauser silver manufacturing company of New York, New York between 1887 and 1903. The candlesticks are 8" tall and the base measures 4 1/2" in diameter. The stem is weighted, and the bottom is fully hallmarked. One of the candlesticks was expertly repaired at the bottom of the stem just above the base. There is an Old English letter engraved on top of the base, your guess is as good as mine as to what letter it could be...
