A beautiful Large Staffordshire blue transfer ware well and tree platter made by Clews circa 1825. The platter features a scenic view of travelers in a landscape with ruins and a floral border. Measuring an impressive 21 inches by 16.5 inches the condition is excellent but for a minor chip that was successfully reattached (see picture) . It is amazing that there are virtually no knife marks or signs of use for a piece nearly 200 years old...

A very rare liturgical embroidery dating to the 17th century or earlier. A cope hood in shield-form with a central applied panel depicting the Archangel Michael. He is standing in complete armour holding a sword and about to strike a tailed demon. Ruby silk ground with couched gold and silver threads and appliqued arabesques in yellow silk, the medaillon and lining in linen. Condition: clean. Wear, slits, mendings and losses...

A large presentation goblet by John Edward Terry, London, 1840, with blown out repousse decoration of morning glories and foliage. Size: 10 in ht. x 5.25 in. diameter. 18.8 Troy ounces. Excellent condition. With original engraved family armorial and later presentation inscription: To L.D. Salisbury, Esq., For the Best General Score, Gala 15th Sept. 1840.

A contemporary match safe fashioned in the shape of a hound's head in sterling silver, London, by silversmith David A. Bowles, 2004. This match safe or vesta case is a contemporary copy of a Victorian original. It is very detailed and of heavy weight. The dog's collar hinges open to reveal the matches inside, and there is a striker under the chin. Fully hallmarked for London, 2004. Size: 2 inches length x 1.25 inches depth x 1 inch ht. Excellent original condition, with no damage.

Victorian Mercury glass demijohn bottle, 19th century. This early example of Mercury glass is hand blown with a rough pontil mark on the underside and a sheared lip at the top of the narrow neck. The rectangular form is embellished with vertical ribbing. The mercury finish is in very good condition, with only a single half inch diameter area where the finish exhibits signs of oxidation. There are bubbles visible in the glass. Dimensions: 9.5" wide x 7" deep x13.25" high.

A sculptured bronze match holder with striker modeled in the form of a fox caught in a trap. Continental origin. Mid to late 19th century. Size: 4.25 inches length x 2.25 inches height x 3 inches depth. Excellent as-found condition. The fox is standing amidst foliage by a tree stump (which serves as the match holder) with his left fore paw caught in a metal snare. His expression displays the distress caused by his predicament. The fox is cast separately and attached to the base.

An antique 19th century hand painted porcelain cat figurine. This figure is probably Austrian or German and it is of heavy porcelain. It is very well painted and it measures 4-1/4" tall. It is unsigned and quite colourful with pink, black, green, orange, blue and gold. It is in reasonably good condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight hairline crack along the chest and a few small paint flakes on the back...

J. Pouyat, Limoges, France porcelain relish or condiment dish, decorated with rich gilding to the rococo rim and handles, and with a lustrous interior. There is a gilded original owner's initial "B" applied to one side, and the dish is signed on the under side by the decorator with the initials AB and dated 1933, together with the Pouyat stamp. Size: 10.5"L x 4"D x 3"H. Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs, and with no wear to the gilding.

A Sheffield plated tea urn circa 1806, on four ball feet, fluted paw-foot columns, body of circular form having two ring handles and oval plate stamped with London, 1806, TH marks, the dome cover has ball finial and greek key design border, no lamp, overall very good condition consistant with age, some wear of plating, one ball foot having two concentric circles instead of three, one ball foot brass, 19 in. H approx.

Antique Hand Crafted Persian Silver Hookha top, 19th C. The origins of the hookah come from the north western provinces of India along the border of Pakistan in Rajasthan and Gujarat nearly a millennia back. In Persia, before the age of cigar and cigarette, hookha was used for generations and generally they were made from clay. Louis Vuitton brass paperweight, produced by Louis Vuitton in the early 1980's, was made to resemble a Louis Vuitton trunk right down to the locks and handles. This heavy (4.5 ounce) solid brass weight measures 2 inches (5 cm) Long, 1 inch (2.5 cm) Wide and 5/8 inch (1.6 cm) Tall. There is a scratch on the bottom that is visible in the photographs, which can be buffed out, but otherwise this is in excellent condition. Comes with a Louis Vuitton box...
