Rare New England sampler from Enfield, NH, dated 1825, embroidered by Cynthia Terry, aged 11. Decorated with baskets of flowers and with the poem: "When death does throw his fatal dart / The nearest earthly friends must part / Parents must leave their children dear / When they the dreadful summons hear." Size: 11.5 inches x 10.5 inches. Offered in an antique giltwood frame. Very good condition. Some light toning in spots.

Antique Wedgwood dark blue Jasper ware dip jug, England, c.1900., with classical scenes in relief of Diana and other figures making offerings, and with festooned decoration round the rim. Size: 6.25" ht. x 6" diameter x 7.5" over handle/spout. Condition is very good, with no loss to relief decoration, or repairs, only with some staining to the bottom of the jug and with a manufacturer's firing crack at the top handle join. See photo details. Impressed "Wedgwood England" marks under base.

Mt. Washington Glass Works Crown Milano glass cracker biscuit jar of ribbed, melon form in a satin finish with a buff color shading to orange and with hand painted oak leaf decoration. The collar, swing handle and cover are of pewter. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks to the glass and the decoration is crisp. The cover is Mt. Washington and is stamped "MW 537," however, there is some play in its fitting, and it may be a marriage from another jar...

German silver pheasant game bird table ornament, 800 silver standard. Circa 1900-1920. Size: 8.25" long x 4" high x 1.75" deep. Excellent condition. Head is removable. This is not a shaker.

Antique English cut glass claret jug with sterling silver mounts by John Figg, London, 1872-1873. The glass body is decorated with a cut star design. There is a chip to the glass foot ring, which is covered by a sterling silver mount, hallmarked by E.H. Stockwell, London 1872. Otherwise condition is excellent. Matching hallmarks to cover, handle and silver neck ring. Size: 9.5" high x 5.5" across handle/spout x 5" diameter.

Newcomb College art pottery vase with cucumber green matt drip glaze. Excellent condition with no chips, repairs or cracks, only a spot at base where glaze did not run smoothly. Size: 7.25" ht. x 5.25" diameter.

George I sterling silver Hanoverian table spoon with rat tail to reverse of bowl and having a pronounced midrib to upturned handle with engraved shaded block initials of the original owners, A over P*A, above a slightly later second set, M*B. London, 1720, by the silversmith Henry Miller I. Length: 7 5/8". Condition: Excellent, with no wear, dents or cracks to the elliptical bowl. Hallmarks are legible, though the maker's mark is somewhat closed from the reshaping of the stem after assaying...

A very charming wise old OWL! This vase stands 12 inches tall and is 7 inches wide/diameter. The body of the owl is comprised of rough unglazed "feathers" and has glazed shiny highlights. The sides and based are glazed. This exanple is unmarked, but I have had marked versions, all with the Royal Haegar ink stamp. No cracks, chips or repairs, Circa 1960

Vintage green, white and violet enamel, Late Art Nouveau motif to Early Art Deco Enamel Watch Fob Chain Silver Color Metal marked: MADE IN GERMANY and a bird mark. Some say that green, white & violet were the suffragettes' "secret colors" and those who vociferously disagree! Would rather believe the former, as more cryptic and romantic, no? This is the only time a 2nd item just like it has been listed @ www.mimideeartwear.com, as the other like it was collected here in 2003...

George III sterling silver ink stand by Henry Chawner, London, 1795. The sterling boat-form stand holds three matching, faceted pots with sterling tops, including a sanding pot, inkwell, and pen holder. All pots bear identical hallmarks that match the full set of marks on the underside of the stand. Also incised with the engraved initials "D.A.D." and "No. 18" to underside of stand. Condition is very good, with only some minor chipping to the bases of two of the pots...

An Art Deco hammered silver plate cocktail shaker circa 1930. This decorative 10-3/4" tall item features a hammered body and a mushroom-style cap with a threaded, cork-lined spout cap; it is stamped VIKING PLATE MADE IN CANADA E.P. COPPER LEAD MOUNTS on the bottom. This item is in excellent original condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small, shallow dent near the handle and a bit of copper showing near the bottom on the interior...

This is a rare pair of sterling silver candlesticks made by the esteemed Mauser silver manufacturing company of New York, New York between 1887 and 1903. The candlesticks are 8" tall and the base measures 4 1/2" in diameter. The stem is weighted, and the bottom is fully hallmarked. One of the candlesticks was expertly repaired at the bottom of the stem just above the base. There is an Old English letter engraved on top of the base, your guess is as good as mine as to what letter it could be...
