Striking Venini Vase in awesome shades of cobalt, aquamarine, and deep red. Done in the con macchie and a puntii techniques, this vase has an irregular surface, as the blue and aquamarine are worked more into the surface and the red is definitely left a puntii (dots on the surface), the colors are laid on a clear glass. The vase is asymmetrical with two opposing pulled points. There is a bubble in the rim that is visible in enlargement 4, not a flaw but mentioned for accuracy...

This kind of Mask is sculpted with minimal work taking advantage of natural deformations. The natural material would be tree roots, at least that is the information provided by the sellers. Some of these masks would however be old and used as burlesque masks during the various festivals. The parts with nodules are preserved with a minimum of modification to represent the eyes and sometimes the mouth. This gives each mask a unique look of puffy, hideous faces...

Antique Chinese Grey-green carved openwork jade Bi rendered in alternating rings of incised rope pattern. The center disk features burrowing chilong carved in bas-relief. Diffuse calcification with slight erosion are visible. Size; Diameter of carving is 5.5 inches, condition is consistent with age.

Rare pair of Scottish sterling silver spurs from the Georgian period, bearing hallmarks for Edinburgh, 1813, maker N&G. These spurs are decorated with gadrooning and retain their original silver buckles and leather straps (not pictured). Condition is excellent, apart from two broken teeth on one of the iron rowels. By the Philadelphia PA silversmith, Christian Wiltberger (1766-1851), this lovely cream jug was likely made around 1800, as Wiltberger was active in Philadelphia from the 1790s until the early years of the 19th century. It measures 5 1/8" high to top of handle, and is 4 1/4" wide. Signed on the bottom with Wiltbergers stamp, and has a W etched into the front (probably the owners initial). Victorian Mercury glass demijohn bottle, 19th century. This early example of Mercury glass is hand blown with a rough pontil mark on the underside and a sheared lip at the top of the narrow neck. The rectangular form is embellished with vertical ribbing. The mercury finish is in very good condition, with only a single half inch diameter area where the finish exhibits signs of oxidation. There are bubbles visible in the glass. Dimensions: 9.5" wide x 7" deep x13.25" high.
