This bronze depicts King Louis XIV in his royal robes and other regalia, standing next to a table containing a small coffer, to which he points, with a key in his hand. The backing over the table contains other French and royal insignia, including a shield and crown. The sculpture is cast in three sections, with some welding evident on the back. A stunning fire patinated bronze vase. The mottled verdigris background in contrast with copper red patinated areas of resist in leaf patterns complete with veining to the leaves and texture to the sustaining twigs. This two piece millefiore Fairylamp is beautiful when lit! The millefiore have transparent blue centers, surrounded by concentric circles of red, lattimo and gold on a lattimo ground. cased in clear glass. Dome is notched, and bowl has matching scalloped edge. Assembled lamp stands 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall, bowl is 5 5/8 inches (13 cm) in diameter. Unmarked, but have seen others with KB import label. Striking Venini Vase in awesome shades of cobalt, aquamarine, and deep red. Done in the con macchie and a puntii techniques, this vase has an irregular surface, as the blue and aquamarine are worked more into the surface and the red is definitely left a puntii (dots on the surface), the colors are laid on a clear glass. The vase is asymmetrical with two opposing pulled points. There is a bubble in the rim that is visible in enlargement 4, not a flaw but mentioned for accuracy...

Tall, organic form sculpture by Luciano Gaspari for Salviati & Co.. The sculpture is formed of three joined irregular disks, with richly varied surface textures and folds.
