A rare and magnificent locket and chain from the Chicago Arts & Crafts Workshop KALO. The oval locket has an engraved pattern of lowers surrounded by a beaded trim. The back is completely plain. It opens and closes with a side hinge. The double paper clip chain with alternating flower shape links appears to be original to the locket and is spectacular in every way. The locket measures 2" long with the bail and 1 1/4" wide. The chain is 20" end to end...

SOLD - SOLD c 1910 Interesting hand made sterling ring with hand applied silver and 4 late Victorian color reddish Gold chased leaves, simply marked sterling. Some would say that those leaf motives look much like the ones Bernard Instone favored. The Heintz Art Metal Shop of Buffalo, New York made jewelry and decorative objects of patinated bronze with sterling overlay in cut out patterns. They were in business from 1906-1929 and although they did not sign their jewelry, their style is so distinctive it can easily be identified. This 2 1/4" by 1 1/4" pin is a fine example of the jewelry from this shop. It is in beautiful original condition and a wonderful piece of Arts & Crafts period jewelry.

A rare and spectacular handwrought sterling repousse cuff by silversmith Peer Smed. He was trained in Denmark, came to the U.S. and worked for Tiffany & Co., then later opened his own shop in New York. The workmanship of this bracelet is superb.The flower and leaves look alive. His pieces are hard to find and this is the first bracelet made by Smed that I have ever seen. Measuring 5 1/4" around in the inside with a 1" opening, it is 1 1/8" wide in the front and tapers to 1/2" in the back...
