This amethyst ring is an iconic Antonio Pineda design, shown on p. 154 of Silver Seduction. It's a mid-century piece, collector quality, with perfectly matched amethyst cylinders which are channel set in a thick and chunky 970 silver setting. The stones are perfectly matched in color, and this ring can be worn by either a man or a woman. Measures 7 1/4 on a ring sizer, although because of the thickness and width of the band it will fit slightly smaller...

There are buckle bracelets and then, there are BUCKLE BRACELETS! And a spectacular Mexican Deco specimen of the latter I am proud to be presenting here. Honestly, however, all the aaahs and ooohs aside, this is one of the most glamorous mesh jewelry I have encountered even though its design elements are few and quite simple, if one thinks about it. Extra wide and finely woven, the sterling mesh is flexible and comfortably wraps around the wrist...

Signed by Matilde Poulat and with one of her earliest Matl hallmarks, this necklace is one of the prettiest I have seen. The center drop is 6 in. across and 2.5in. tall with the dangles. The palomas are neatly tucked between larger stations inside the drop. You can hook into different lengths and it is 20in. long. This demi has been made with a thick silver base and has a weight of 64 grams heavy. There is a gorgeous natural patina with no damage of any kind to the stones or silver...

We are offering a Fred Davis Shield and obsidian mask necklace with a length of 17.5in. The mask is 1.5in. by 1.5in. The lovely thing about this necklace is it's size. You can wear everyday and with anything as it is not huge like many of it's kind. Correctly hallmarked with FD and no damage to stone or silver. The weight is 50 grams and it is thick silver sheet. An excellent example, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Ultimately modernist in its approach to personal adornment, with Enrique Ledesma's signature perfection in the marriage of silver and stone, a necklace and earrings set with triangular links of sterling framing richly colored azur-malachite. Honesty of materials, craftsmanship of the highest level and immaculate finishing create a superb example of Taxco lapidary and silversmithing prowess. The necklace measures 15 3/4" long (wearable) by 5/8" wide while the clip-back earrings are 7/8" by 3/4"...

Classic 1960s Sigi Pineda Mexican silver modernist brooch in a design that looks to me like an angelfish albeit rendered in the most minimalist fashion. I consider Sigi's "niello" line one of the most inspired periods in his admittedly long and prolific career. I find that the metallic black/grey oxidation applied to some of the silver surfaces adds unsurpassed depth and sculpturality, something that in more traditionally crafted pieces is achieved by repoussage and hand-chasing...

Amazing sun, moon and stars pin by William Spratling. There is a full page featuring this pin on page 57 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Berk and Morrill. They date it c. 1942. This is a huge and bold pin measuring 3" by 2". It is in beautiful original condition and appropriately signed for William Spratling as shown in the photo. An absolutely spectacular early Spratling pin.

A pair of leaves made out of sterling silver and inlaid with azur-malachite this set of Salvador Teran earrings remains true to the absolute minimalism that characterizes his jewelry. It never ceases to amaze me how, with just a few pencil strokes, talented designers can impart the freshness of a green leaf, the way it curls to collect the rain, the texture of its serrated edge...

Margot von Voorheis Carr designed this pre-Columbian double swirl and her taller Margot de Taxco created this absolute to die for necklace. It is so beautiful it was chosen as the COVER DESIGN for the book WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penney C. Morrill. Definitely a favorite of mine being 1 14/16th wide (for all intent and purpose you can call it 2 inches wide) and 20in. long. The actual wearable size due to its width is a comfortable 17in. The presence displayed is s...
