In emulation of a Margot de Taxco's design a vintage silver and black enamel necklace signed by Narvaez. I am familiar with the specific maker's Deco jewelry yet I have never seen an enameled piece by him! Based on a difficult to find (at least in my experience) Margot original, I love the sweeping motion of the stylized feathers and their generous size. A stunning piece, it measures a wearable 17 3/4" with its feathers part being 4" wide by 2 1/4" tall (at its tallest)...

I have always seen this signed Aguilar but it has been thought to be a Valentin Vidaurreta design. It is thought to resemble a Mask and is a sleek jewel at 5/8's inches tall and weighs a mere 27 grams of thick silver. The silver is 940 pure and with no damage but plenty of glare. There is a natural dark patina.

Necklace Design 250 by Los Castillo is outstanding repousse that displays great depth, dimension and skill to produce. The silver is heavy at 107 grams. It is rounded so the wearable length is approximately 17in. The large links in the drop is the tiniest fraction below 1.5in. No repairs, dents or damage on this well loved treasure. Probably my favorite among the Taxco modernists, Salvador Teran has that magic touch which allows him to draw a perfectly "readable" picture with the least amount of strokes. His work is inspired and his ability to deal with different materials and always create wearable pieces of art is simply unbelievable. In this set of abstract earrings my eyes see the figures of two birds...

Sterling overlay and three-dimensional stone frogs turn this Carmen Beckmann necklace into a small sculpture gallery around the neck! One of the few known to us female contributors to Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance albeit active a little later than the beginnings of the big Mexico City and Taxco workshops, she was based in San Miguel de Allende in the 1950s and 1960s and that is where she created most of her jewelry...

Los Castillo design 183 is 1in. tall and is constructed using the repousse technique. The silver is very thick which weighs 50 grams and has a width is 1in. I have left the natural patina on this bracelet and will leave it to the buyer to highlight as desired. You can see the fish are swimming through waves and bubbles without a dent or damage. You can see on the waves there is a ripple to accent the movement of the wave. These are not dents and are on each wave of each link. Los Castillo fish a...

From the earlier part of Matilde Poulat's magically creative career this set of silver and red coral earrings is characterized by her textured wirework, beading and bezel-set stones. Almost understated when compared to Matl's usually bold designs, it reminds me of inverted question marks. I love the classic elegance and the way the dark patina of the silver makes the saturated color of the cabs pop. The earrings are 1 1/2" tall by 1" wide and weigh 11.5 grams (for the set). They are signed with ...

Dramatic with a signed Taxco 980 which always reflects quality. The drop is 4.5in. across and 2.5in. tall. The weightis 54 grams (open backed repousse) The technique of the workmanship is seldom seen. Part of the individual link is thick base with deep chasing and the other end is open backed repousse giving dimension and then carved on top of that. No damage and the wearable is 18in. of comfort. The last picture is the necklace with a cuff already listed on my site. A spectacular presence, jus...
