This is the silver "pillow" bracelet by William Spratling. It is from his first design period, 1931-1946. Measuring 8" around in the inside and 1 1/8" wide, it has a pin closure and is in fine original condition. From a private collection, this is a stunning sterling necklace and two bracelets sold at the Rancho Alegre, the largest silver shop in Taxco during the 1960s-70s. The designer initials are TRM . This amethyst and sterling pin by Taxco artist Fred Davis is featured on page 24 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. They date the pin c. 1928. Davis combined silver and amethyst in many of his most celebrated pieces. This pin measures 1 3/4" diameter and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks to the stones and none have been replaced. Hallmarked for Fred Davis as shown. An important early piece by this creative visionary.

A stunning tiger eye and sterling bracelet with matching earrings by Felipe Martinez who opened his workshop "Piedra Y Plata" in 1950. A wonderful Aztec design 940 silver pin with 5 balls and 5 dangles by Hector Aguilar. I have never seen this pin before and I have not found it in any books so believe it to be quite rare. It measures 1 3/4" long and 1 3/8" wide.It is in fine original condition but the safety is missing on the pin clasp so it is currently just a "C" clasp. This a beautiful armadillo necklace designed by Valentin Vidaurreta and produced by Manuel Altamirano. It was also produced by Hector Aguilar.
