A Kitty's face only a Mama Cat could love! Naive engraved face Mod Silver Cat marked in back: "Coro Mex Silver". Hector Aguilar made jewelry for Coro from 1943 to 1950, less than 10 years after having worked at Spratling's Taller de las Delicias. Nice haft at .8 Oz or 23 Grams! 3" x 1.5". One of William Spratlings' most recognizable pieces is this Aztec figure pin with a large amethyst. Circa 1940, it is featured on page 39 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill. Measuring 1 1/2" long and 1 1/8" wide, most of the surface of the pieces is the large square cabachon amethyst which measures 1"long and 5/8" wide. Classic Hector Aguilar Book and Three Beads Bracelet featured on page 32 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. Fabulous design and construction, this bracelet measures 6 1/2" around in the inside of the bracelet and is 5/8" wide. It weighs 95 grams and has a secure pin closure with safety chain. Charming 940 silver Aztec design necklace by Hector Aguilar, c. 1940. Very intricate and ornamental, this piece measures 16 1/2" end to end and is 1" wide. It weighs 88 grams and looks superb on. It is in excellent original condition, has a secure push in clasp and is signed for Hector Aguilar as shown in the photo. I have never seen this Hector Aguilar necklace offered before and not found it pictured in any book so believe it to be quite rare. A remarkable Hector Aguilar necklace!

Sold. This higher silver content marked 950, better than the usual 925. Maker's Mark: "La Maricela Taxco" in a circle around the 950 silver content. Is chased, engraved and with applied granulation. 3" X 2.25" in very good condition in rich silver color with age appropriate patina in crevices. Has Not been polished and no issues.

FABULOUS Armadillo design 940 necklace made by Hector Aguilar. It is graceful and solid at the same time with lots of movement. It measures 17 1/2" end to end and is 1 1/2" wide at the widest center oval. It weighs 79 grams. This is the best Los Ballesteros bracelet ever. Wonderful 1 1/2" wide sterling hinged bangle with black enamel polka dots strategically placed all around the bracelet.
